Placed order online and paid Sun 10/31 1:09pm. auto e-mail confirmation 1:10pm. Tue,11/2 12:17pm, 42nd st called to confirm order left voice mail, cld back and was offered additional battery sale declined.(Unecessary upsale/confirmation) Would ordering by phone save this step and get item quicker?Credit card charged for order at this time. Checking order status online is useless since it stated order was shipped 11/3 no tracking #, when indeed it was not shipped until 11/9. Tues 11/9 6:29pm UPS billing info generated, 8:11pm ship notification rec'd, track #, via e-mail 9:03pm UPS scan at ship location 11/10 10:58a delivered. Although order received was within the 7-10 day window Note: charge was made 11/2 and not shipped until 11/9 contrary to store policy "we do not charge your credit card until the item is READY to be shipped" A bit disappointed since I'm in a one day ship zone on UPS and I've received better service in the past but will probably order again IF best price on the web. |

42nd Photo was great to work with! They called and confirmed my home address to make sure I got free shipping (I had used a PO Box & would have lost free shipping) and were very friendly and helpful. Will definately use again! |

Everything normal, except that I received a call 2 days later to confirm my interest in purchasing. Maybe this procedure could be informed previously. Though it might have delayed a little bit, it was a security routine, protecting my credit card, and I am quite pleased. |

I purchased a Kodak Z981 camera from 42 street photo. The price was the lowest with free shipping. Customer service was excellent !! John the manager of sales called to give me an update before camera was shipped. Highly recommend 42street Photo !!! |

42nd Photo was great to work with. There prices are outstanding. I also got a phone call from John, the internet sales rep. to confirm my order before he shipped it out. I got the order pretty much two days after I ordered it. I will most def. buy from them again. |

I do NOT recommend this seller. I purchase many items online with almost all without any problems whatsoever. My experience with 42nd Street Photo (42photo.com) was one of the worst. I could not cancel my order, which I rarely do, within 2~3 hours of ordering on 10/29, when I was told that the camera had already shipped out (It turned out it did not happen until 11/2) and that my returning it even without opening the box would result in a 15 or 20% RESTOCKING FEE. My e-mails were never replied to. I was actually BRIBED by a guy at the customer service for a positive review, which I declined. The camera came with NO WARRANTY CARD, even though their Web site said it came with a USA warranty and the user guide said it should be inside the box. The seller even left a message for me to call to confirm the order, which was odd, because they rarely call unless there is a problem. I understand some camera sellers use this tactic to sell additional items. |
