Same story again sellman call me after i placed an order for a Pentax AF-360 FGZ because "back order for 4 to 6 weeks" and suggest that i can buy the Vivitar flash for same price. Note: the item still post as "in stock" for the last 20 days. I just regret that my time was wasted because i did not read the rating on Price Grabber first. Good luck if you want to try it, if they call you back for the same reason then do not forget to leave the comment here for other would be victim of this switch & bait tactic. Overall Rating

This company is using classic bait and switch tactics. I ordered Nikon sb600 flash, displayed as 'in stock', but next day I received a call saying that the item is 3-4 weeks backordered. I was asked why I decided to buy this flash as it has inadequacies with metering, etc... I was asked if I would consider the Vivitar flash, 'which is a better flash', in lieu of the Nikon flash.... I declined the offered and stated that I will wait for my item. But upon further investigation on the Web, I concluded that I would never receive my item and that it was a waste of time. So I called back and cancelled the order. This company does this all the time, as seen from numerous complaints posted on the Web. I have since ordered the item from another, more reputable company. (Edited October 27th by Bleh5)  Similar story to everyone else. Placed order for GENUINE Canon camcorder battery BP-819 at approximately 11 AM. Received call from sales associate stating that battery is on "national backorder" and would take 4-6 weeks to be in stock. Website at time of purchase, and at time of contact, says that item is in stock. Sales associate attempted to upsell me on a "better" battery, to which I declined firmly three times, stating that I am willing to wait for the Canon BP-819 at the advertised price. Final rating will change depending on whether 1) my order gets cancelled outright, or 2) I actually receive a genuine Canon battery. Overall Rating

Oredered official canon product as advertised on site, was called to be told on 6 month backorder and was being shipped cheap replacement at higher price. Attempted to cancel order but not accepted. Placed my order directly with AccessoryCircut and didn't think to check Pricegrabber rating. Sure enough I got a call. Pure bait and switch. Was told Canon batteries had been recalled, 8-10 weeks till new ones available. Buy this other battery, it's better and cheaper. No thanks, cancel the battery and send me just the Canon charger. OK, that will ship in 8-10 days. It's not in stock? No, you really should buy this other battery and charger. Cancel the whole order. Overall Rating

I have read the reviews on this company and was alittle concerned since I had already placed my order. My concerns were dismissed after I spoke with Elliot, General Manager, and then did some checking of my own. I checked with vivitar and found that the charger and battery I received was sold by them, however they no longer use the company they contracted to produce them. So even though these have been replaced, the vivitar rep assured me that the items I received are quality items with no defects. Vivitar will still stand behind their products and not to worry. I relayed this back to the company, and as in my prior phone conversations, they were very professional and thankful. I would buy from them again. It is very common for small businesses to purchase close out items from companies and sell them at a lower price, after all some of the big warehouse companies do the same thing. I have had a good experience with this company and disagree with some of the other reviews. Overall Rating

I ordered one 2262A006 Canon 220EX Speedlite TTL Shoe Mount Flash on the evening of September 13 for $74.99. The item was shown to be in stock, but I received a phone call on September 14 telling me the item was on "back order" and would not be available for months. The salesman, James, then tried to talk me into buying a cheaper Vivatar flash unit for $35.00+ more. That web site is one of those "bait and switch" sites, and nothing being offered is ever in stock. I'm sorry I wasted my time. Overall Rating

Same as the others. Bait'n'switch. Called me the next day to tell me about the back order problem. I wish I'd read these reviews before I made the purchase. Now off to find a legit store with the battery I need for my Panasonic camera. I'll return the off market one from AccessoryCircut (oh, yeah, they promised it wouldn't damage the camera, overheat or anything bad at all). If can't return will rack it up to lesson learned. (Edited September 05th by crimsonkimono)  CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH! i am in the same boat all of you are in except i figured it out after the second call which i made to insure that this was a product superior to the one promised. i was told it was a Vivitar (which is a decent brand ) the man must of not known that i was an electronics guru b/c when i asked to be directed to the page that had the product on it.. it turns out its NOT Vivitar and its a CTA model. luckily i saw this product on other websites prior to ordering this one and my husband was so furious he canceled it. He thought initially the guy calling was a nice gesture of CS but really its to hook you into a so called "better deal" this company would have made 28 (or more if i didnt say no) for a product that runs from anywhere to 6-12 depending where you get it. I find out after researching too that many ppl have had this done to them which lead me to write this. I just goes to show even tho you know your electronics u can still get taken if you dont review first Overall Rating

Within 18 hours of placing my order, I was called and told there would be a 4-6 week delay in shipping my Nikon batteries. I was encouraged to take a "better" battery at the same price. I felt the old "bait 'n switch" and insisted they send me what I ordered. I will follow-up if and when my batteries arrive.

Classic bait and switch. Web site said camcorder battery was "in stock", got a call the next day saying the battery was "recalled" and that I should buy an off brand. Person on the phone was completely unprofessional, and very pushy. I should have known better, especially since the price was too good to be true.

These guys are crooks. Their scam is a classic bait & switch. I ordered a Panasonic battery charger for a Panasonic CGA-S007 battery. A customer service rep called to tell me the item was "backordered" & tried to get me to buy a different charger he said was superior to the Panasonic charger. He directed me to their site where the item was listed at $89 but marked down to $49. I declined, so he offered to mark it down to $39. I again declined, and he said he could let me have it for $29 (the same price as the Panasonic unit). I agreed. Turns out, this charger sells for less than $10 on many sites. I went back to the Accessorycircut.com site, and the item was no longer listed. I believe the page was put up temporarily showing the high price to get me to think it was a high quality unit. I checked up on the vendor and found that this is a common practice for them. Avoid this vendor like the plague!

Standard bait and switch: order at excellent price; get call that it's on backorder, 3-5 weeks for delivery; pressure to accept an inferior product. I'm pretty resistant to pressure. I checked on line, found that this is standard procedure for them, so I canceled the order. At least they processed the cancellation quickly, though the unit is still listed on the web site as being in stock. Don't order from them; you won't get that great price, just a headache.

I had found a Canon battery on this site for quite cheaper than advertised elsewhere. After ordering it, the same day I received a call stating it was on back order for 4-6 weeks and they have a better battery for just $4 more. Was told it was the SAME battery, just a larger capacity. I agreed. After receiving the battery, it was NOT a Canon battery. Furthermore, after looking it up online the battery they sent me is worth $7-$20...not $38. After writing the company to ask how to return the battery they tried to tell me it was a better battery, they did not take back batteries. Then offered to give me $20 to keep the battery. Not happening. In the process of disputing with credit card company. This is a very distrustworty company. Wish I had done a little more research as I have found I am not the first nor the last consumer this company will pull this on. Overall Rating

I wish I had more time to search reviews before ordering. My fiance told me that he was going to get me a Canon hf10 camcorder for my birthday. I did some research online for the camera and an extra battery. I found that accessorycircut had the best price on the Canon bp819 battery. I placed the order online and then went to work. I got a call and an email an hour later stating that the battery was out of stock from the manufacturer for 3-4 weeks, but they could substitute a better battery at a discounted price (the classic bait and switch the reviews warned about) Well I was at work and in a hurry because we needed it for the weekend, so I agreed to the switch. I got an email saying that the battery had shipped and it should be here in 2 days. Hopefully the replacement works as well as they claim, if not, I will be returning it! If all these product are out of stock like the reviews claimed, they should update the website and stop scaming people. I will update. Overall Rating

Just like many of the other reviews, I ordered here because of the good price listed on a name-brand (Pentax) flash. Then a salesman calls you telling you that what you ordered is backordered for 4-6 weeks, and offers you a Vivitar flash for the same price, claiming that is a bargain. A few searches reveal that Vivitar is available for $129 elsewhere, not the $159 they are charging. So they offered to throw in a battery charger after I point this out. The fact is they are doing a bait and switch on flash orders to make more money off you. I will try the Vivitar anyway and see how it goes, since I did see mixed reviews on the Pentax flash anyway, and have used Vivitars before. Without the battery charger thrown in I would have cancelled and ordered my flash from my usual merchant. Overall Rating

Classic bait and switch. I ordered the battery, wife got a call from the sales department 15 minutes later. "We don't have that battery but please have your husband call, we have other things he would like." Received an email - "there's a problem with your order." Responded to the email informing them that I was not interested. Another email - "No, you're mistaken, we have it in stock." Well gee whiz, if it's in stock, then why am I getting emails about problems with my order and phone calls telling me that it's not in stock? Why hasn't it just shipped? Bait and switch. You place the order and then get a call, or email insisting on a call, in which they try to switch you to something else. In my case, I ordered a Canon LP-E6 battery, which the website showed in stock, their agent sadly advised it was unavailable anywhere, on a national 6 month backorder, do I want their proprietary brand instead? Hard sell, total nonsense, had to hang up on them. Got it elsewhere, no problem, but what a waste of my time. Overall Rating

Following instructions on the website, we attempted to get a return code via the website. Did not get it, was told to call on Tues (and was also called ignorant in an email from the customer service mgr.) On Tues, the person who said to call was not in the office. All of this culminated with another employee being blatantly rude on the phone and they decided we would not be "allowed" to return the defective merchandise. I was very disappointed. Your web site lead me to believe I was purchasing a SONY G battery. Nowhere did I see that it was a “compatible” battery. Even when the battery arrived at the house there was a sticker over the battery to hide the type that it was a replacement . I would not recommend your site at all. I told my son-in-law not to order either. He also bought an identical camera but wanted an original Sony G battery. If it wasn’t such a pain to send it back I would have. Overall Rating

I also tried ordering the NIKON SB-600, then the next day I rec'd an e-mail saying that they tried contacting me at the phone number provided ( my cell phone ) because there was a problem with the order. I checked my phone, NO missed calls. So I called them to find out the problem. The guy I talked to gave me the same line that it looks like a couple others have gotten, that this item was on back order with NIKON & that they'd "upgrade" me to a better flash. He gave me the suggested substitute, which again, was a Vivitar. Well I'm not on the top of the list of professional photographers, but I'm surely aware that NO Vivitar is any where near the comparison of a NIKON product, at any price. After I said I didn't want that item & started to discuss other options with him, he butted in & said that he'd cancel the order & then hung up on me while I was still trying to talk to him. I will never order here again. After I originally ordered what showed on the internet to be an instock item (batter charger) a sales guy called and told me it was out of stock. He told me there was a diff. charger that I could order that would work and it even came with an additional battery also for an additional price. Once I got the item the battery didnt even go with my camera! I even asked him specifically if it would work and he said yes. So for a bigger price I still didnt get a better item. Very disappointed in this company and will not refer or order from here ever again!!!! Overall Rating
