The slowest delivery on the Internet! I ordered an in-stock item. I just got off the phone with ACE Hardware's customers service. I spoke to Lindsey in customer service and she talked to her supervisor (I think his name was Dan). Their official company policy is for an order to take up to 7 business days to leave the warehouse and if you choose their in-store delivery it will take an additional 8 business days. That is 15 business days before I can pick-up the product or 21 calendar days to get a product that is in-stock. I can't believe this is their business policy. When I found this out, I was told they will try to cancel it but can not guarantee it and that "it would be unwise to refuse the order." I have bought hundreds of things on-line over the years, I have never heard of anyone taking the bulk of a month to deliver a product! |

I ordered 2 Igloo® Hinge (8135) "Sure Lock" type as pictured and detailed on the web site. When the ordered was picked up from the store location it was the cheap new Igloo replacement hinge. Very disappointed and will not do business with ACE Hardware on-line again. |

Awful! I assumed that a reputable name company like Ace Hardware would have it together, but no. I will never do business with this online store again. I ordered a shed to be delivered to my local Ace outlet. My credit card was charged the day that I made the order. I received an email a few days later that the order had shipped and would arrive in 8-12 days. It never did. The local Ace store does not know that orders are coming from the online store. They seem to have no way get any information from the online people. The online store's email and phone number are totally automated and will only repeat back that the "order has shipped". There is no way at all to find out whatever happened to your order. The local store was very sympathetic and responsive. They tried to get resolution from from corporate, but, they couldn't get an answer either. They recommended that I call my credit card company and dispute the charge. I'm hoping this charge doesn't show up on my account again |

What an extremely poor experience. I thought that since the brick and mortar stores were fantastic, the website should be on par. Boy was I wrong. It took 15 days for the order to be available for pickup in the store. Not to mention that I received the wrong items. I ordered a black and decker cordless screw driver p/n 9078, and received a pd360. There is a big difference between the two. The 9078 has a clutch and is smaller, whereas the pd360 is huge and without a clutch. I am so unhappy |

So far, so bad. Within a business day I realized I wouldn't need the thing I bought, so I try to cancel my order. An e-mail told me "You will not be charged for the item(s) that you ordered until you receive an e-mail confirming that they have been shipped.", so I figured it hadn't shipped & I could cancel. Website displays a phone# that has no option to talk to a person, and the e-mail request I made was basically ignored -- they responded as if I wanted to know WHEN I'd get my item. |

Vendor phone system only automated,no live person would pick up;vendor canceled order, did not notify me; I had to track order to find out it had been cancelled. Then they responded that a "coupon intended for a select,private audience" had been used! Bogus! No coupon had been referenced in any way on purchase. No ACE here! |

I ordered a product from Ace Hardware. The web site was not working properly and I inadvertently ordered twice. Once I received the email confirmation, I quickly called them to cancel one order. I found out later they were not able to cancel the product and shipped them both out. They said it was beyond their control and offered me no recourse. They told me I would have to pay the return shipping on one of the products. Very poor customer service and I will never order from them again!! |
