Nice one.

Strengths:

Great value. Finally can afford to learn how to play it.

Weaknesses:

Small chip on the head.

Posted Oct 26, 2006 - I'm not a guitar player so I cannot really say whether this is a very good one or not. I'm sure it does not come close to the more expensive ones. Workmanship looks good except it came with a small chip on the head. It definitely does not look like a toy guitar. I will finally get a chance to learn how to play it. Like the recent reviewers here, I got this for $40. It's affordability makes it a tremendous value!

Excellent buy

Posted Apr 16, 2007 - This is an excellent sounding guitar for the price. Could use some better strings but they are easily replaceable. Construction is decent but not perfect. There is some glue visible on the fret board. Overall though, this makes an excellent starter guitar.

cheapie for the beginenr

Posted Nov 10, 2006 - Bought this for daughter. She never played an instrument ever. She liked the weight of it and of course how it looked. presents itself well. Playing it however , well that leaves a lot to be desires, but again, for the novice this is an excellent choice. And if she decides to not take it up, im only out $35.00

Not bad for the price.

Strengths:

Fairly decent construction and finish.

Weaknesses:

This is not a "professional" guitar, and isn't perfect. The fretboard looks like it is just plastic veneer and not real wood.

Posted Nov 1, 2006 - I was pleased with the guitar. I have bought other cheap guitars only to have the neck break or warp badly. So far so good. To me, the tone isn't that bad. I got it to keep in my motorhome to take on camping trips, so I didn't have to pack my Ovation and risk damaging it.

Nice inexpensive beginners acoustic guitar

Strengths:

Price and quality of sound

Posted Oct 26, 2006 - I had some guitar lesson a few years back but never managed to learn much. This time around I decided to give it another try and this guitar seems like a good choice for beginners. It's well built and the sound is very good compared to others costing 10 times more. The strings are also of good quality (Martins) and stay tuned for a long time (over a week so far). You won't go wrong with the purchase of this guitar.

Posted Oct 26, 2006 - I have another guitar at home, Compared to the rogue dreadnought it is nothing. This guitar is a great guitar for its value, maybe best for its value. I am a beginner and i'm able to play a few chords already. If your are a beginner like me, choose this guitar.

Nice for the price

Posted Oct 25, 2006 - This is my first guitar. I got it for half price when it was on sale for a day on Musician's friend. I never had a guitar so its tough to compare. However, I am very happy with my purchase. The build quality is pretty good. I am yet to play when I will be going for lessons. It doesn't come with a case. I am afraid that a nice case would come for almost the same price. I will update about its performance once I start playing and when I will show it to my teacher.

A decent cheap guitar

Strengths:

Good beginner guitar for the price. You can throw it in your truck without concern for break or anything, because it is cheap!

Weaknesses:

If you are good guitar player, this one is probably not for you. But it is perfect for beginners.

Posted Oct 18, 2006 - this is an good guitar at a low price. makes a great starter guitar for someone who is just starting out and it makes a great back up guitar for even the most expeneced player. sound good and is well constructed. i take mine to beach or partys when someone ask me to bring my guitar along. that way incase some thing happens to it i'm not out the $$$$ i spent on some of my other guitars but people are still impressed when they hear me play. what more could you ask for.
