My 250 GB Seagate Drive became a Western Digital 320 GB Drive. While under most circumstances this would have been fine, in my particular circumstance, I was looking for a drive to replace an existing mirrored drive, and the exact match weas important. On the site it stated in the notes, these drives also had a 5% additional discount available with the purchase of 3 or more drives. When I placed the order the discounted price didn't appear on the invoice, so I e-mailed the seller for an answer and I was told they were out-of-stock of this item. In the meantime the storefront stilled showed 5 drives available. I suspect they just didn't want to sell these drives at the advertised price, BUYER BEWARE! I now have to re-find these drives and re-quote my customer at a higher price in addition to explaining the TWO DAY DELAY! I suppose this lax form of inventory accounting if fine if you're going to use this storefront for personal or non-mission critical business. HOWEVER, ADC-AST you failed my mission critical business requirements to the fullest extent possible!!!!!!!! I give them one point for refunding the purchase price quickly.	Overall Rating

Instead of notifying me to that effect, they substituted an alternate drive, by another manufucturer, of a different capacity. Although they thought they were being generous by shipping a drive of higher capacity, it did not benefit me at all. I needed the specific drive (make and model) as ordered, to replace a failed drive in a RAID system - which does not tolerate a HDD without matching drive geometry to the other drives in the array. At time of order - vendor site showed that product was in stock - almost 2 weeks later received an email from vendor that order could not be processed due to lack of inventory. If vendor had been upfront and honest with true status of their inventory - I would have placed the order with another vendor. Vendor does not respond to requests via email or voicemail. If you are lucky enough to get a person on the phone you still won't get an answer unless you speak to the right person. E-mailed ADC-AST and they said return it. It tested well so I kept it. Mad that I did not get what I ordered but satisfied what I have now works. I probably will not purchase from here for a while. It was indicated on the invoice that the one they sent me was an "upgrade.". I called them and the sales rep confirmed that they swapped the item on purpose. The hard drive they sent me was also NOT new, it was in a re-sealed anti-static bag and there appeared to be light markings on the gold contacts (SATA interface), indicating it might have been plugged in before. Receiving a used item alone is unacceptable, but sending a different item on purpose is doubly so. I got a refund and thankfully did not have to pay for return shipping as pickup was arranged. I would not buy from ADC-AST again.	Overall Rating
