It is easy to install.
We do not like that the switch is made of a rubber-like material instead of hard plastic like the old ones. It doesn't look like it will last as long...but time will tell.
Posted 1 year ago - Originally we thought that our Casablanca fan was still covered by the lifetime warranty. We had had the same repairman out before, and even though it was over 12 years old, it was covered. This time, the fan made a humming noise and the lights didn't work. The only was you could turn it off was to power off. We called for service and learned that the switch is not covered; however, we were fortunate that the repairman listened to what was wrong and told us to try replacing the switch first ourselves. That was the problem! Unfortunately, we bought the switch from the store at which he was working and paid $63.00 for it! We still came out ahead, when you consider paying a service call fee and then paying for the switch.
