Unsatisfied with LG L8008R
Cools the room as advertised. The remote is a nice feature and the filter is easy to remove and to clean.
The plastic casing/housing rattles like an airplane taking off. The no-frills design seemed cheap and inferior once it was in my home.
Posted May 30, 2008 - If you intend to use this LG air conditioner in your bedroom and you like an uninterrupted night's sleep than this is not the unit for you. This has to be the noisiest A/C on the planet! The fan clicks off the compressor every 3 minutes and the constant change from quiet to noisy is so loud as to be unbearable. The first summer we got it end of season and mostly used in fan setting which works fine. Last summer was a nightmare!! We have had it 2 summers now and even though it is working just fine I am currently shopping for a new AC and definitely NOT an LG. I would never recommend this LG model or any other LG air conditioner to anyone. I spend $45.00 for a service person to look at the unit ( at the company's suggestion after I complained of noise ) and was told it was in perfect shape and they tended to be "somewhat loud"!!!
