This thing is terrible. bought it for a small office of 250 square feet, well below advertised 600 square feet of cooling. As i write this the unit has been running on high at the lowest setting of 62 degrees for 3 hours. I can barely tell if there is a difference in temp. Honestly having the window open with a 20 dollar fan cooled the room more. Do not waste your money.

does not cool!
Strengths: dehumidifies well.
Weakness: does not cool even a small room water bucket too small - has to be emptied every 2-3 hrs.
I purchased a similar Everstar unit last summer for my beach apartment and it works great, went back to get another one this year for my home office that is over a garage and not air conditioned. the space is small - about 10 by 12 but this unit is not cooling it at all.
I agree with previous reviewer. it has been running for hours and no change in temperature. It does pull a lot of water out of the air but that too is a problem since the receptable is small and means you have to empty it very frequently.
I am returning it to the dealer today!
