Later I checked the order status and saw that it was the full price, not the price I was promised. So, I called AMS and spoke to a CS rep who assured me that the price would be fixed before the item shipped. This seemed like an odd way to do things, so I called my credit card company. There was a charge to my card for the full amount of the item. I called AMS back-spoke to a different person who said that I was charged the full price that is listed online. I explained to him that I had been offered a better price; he offered to see if he could get me the same price that I was originally offered. I already had an incorrect charge of over $400.00 from them on my card, which I wanted to see removed before I ordered anything else from them.
