Awesome antivirus

Strengths:

Not as intrusive as Norton or McAfee, 2 years for 2 computers

Weaknesses:

64 bit version a bit slow

Posted Nov 1, 2007 - I've always had issues with Norton and McAfee. OneCare seemed a bit bulky. I was using CA and my subscription came due. Found this for free after rebate and checked the reviews. They were very good, so I decided to try it. I am glad that I did. It is updated daily and it has been a very reliable AV product. I will renew this at full price if needed in 2010 :).

Very good AV product

Strengths:

Catches many viruses and trojans, lighter on resources than most competitors, Easy to setup and use

Weaknesses:

Apparently can conflict with some other software

Posted Oct 29, 2007 - This is one of the better anti-virus products on the market. It finds many types of viruses and trojans including some that other products miss. The best part is that it is lighter on system resources than most of its competitors. Some others have reported conflicts between BitDefender and some other software on their machine. While I didn't experience this problem, this concern is something that you should be aware of. While it is not as well known as Norton and McAfee, BitDefender is a solid product well worth being toward the top of your consideration list. It is in a similar league as Kaspersky AV -- another lesser-known product that is simply good at what it does.

still hang up the computer

Posted Dec 2, 2007 - This software is at least better than Norton, McAfee, and Computer Associate. It does not completely hang up your computer like the other do. In addition, virus removal is quite efficient as most of viruses can be found and removed.
