So I am doing some online shopping for a washing maching. This company called Appliance Best Buys keeps popping up with the cheapest price. I'm fearful cause of the bad reviews but the price is so good I place the order. When I get the reciept I see they are here in NY so I give them a call to see I can save the shipping. They say no problem. 2 days later I go to one of their stores (they have 5 or 6 in the city) and pick up my new dishwasher saving hundreds over anyone else I could find and pay NOTHING for shipping! This place is awesome and saved me a bundle. I can't stop singing their praises and I plan to do further shopping there. Overall Rating

I decided against better judgment to give this place a try.I will attempt to explain the whole process for those of you who are thinking of doing the same.In my case, where you are purchasing a non-appliance item, the store itself does not seem to stock them, indicated as a worrying "Further action needed" in the order status box. They instead reach out to other distributors, resulting in a 48 hour lag after your order, just to find out if the item you ordered is in stock.If not, your order gets cancelled, whether you like it or not.Even if it is in stock, unless it is explicitly stated that the shipping is free, they will send you an email that surprises you with a "revision" to their very inaccurate "estimated shipping charge," which reveals a real shipping fee that can be almost ten times the estimate. They are also hard to reach, and even if you get a hold of them, the answers are best summed as "I don't know either." The low prices are tempting, but it is effectively a gamble. Overall Rating

I ordered a Behringer Bass V AMP *PRO* from Appliance Best Buys on the 11'th of September with the promise of 2 days shipping. Our group had some recording to do and my previous FX unit needed replacement immediately (technical issues). It arrived way overdue, and worst of all, it was the standard V-Amp box and not the Pro rack-mount version. We will have to send it back with refund, and if there is no satisfactory action to replace it with the proper unit, we'll order elsewhere. Please don't let low prices get you first, because here, you Definitely get what you pay for! Overall Rating

I ordered a DVD player on Sunday from online & Tuesday I got a email saying my purchase was "Canceled" I DID NOT cancel this order. I have trouble getting anyone to answer that '877' number. This company also took the purchase from my Discover card! This place needs to be out of busness from all the reviews I have read including mine!!! Overall Rating

I placed the order on Sunday and have yet to hear from the company on the status of my order. The website shows the order in progress, but doesn't give a tracking # for the order. I have tried numerous times to contact the company with no luck. This is the last time that I will be doing business with this company. Don't fall for the lower prices because it is not worth the headache!!! Overall Rating

I had a similar bad experience with Appliance Best Buy. I ordered a Maytag Dishwasher. The price was cheaper than anywhere on line and with the shipping the item was $428 and change. I got the following email from Appliance Best Buys yesterday afternoon a full day and a half after confirmation of my order: "Hello, Good afternoon and thank you for your order. Unfortunately due to an error your order was not authorized for a full shipping charge. Unless your order is authorized for a full shipping charge we cannot ship this order out. Our profit margins are very small and we would lose money if we shipped this product out for $11.58 shipping. The shipping charged for this order was $11.58 when in fact it should be $119.00. This means that in order to ship out this order we would you need you to authorize an additional charge of $107.42 to your credit card. Your other option, if this is not to your satisfaction, is to cancel the order. We apologize for any inconvenience." Overall Rating

I called the company to ask if there were items in stock and was advised several pieces were available. After placing the order online, my order status showed on backorder 7-30-08. Multiple calls placed to Appliance Best Buys within the past 2 weeks have provided a wide variety of answers as to the status of my order including: 1) it could be 3-4 weeks before your item is shipped because I do not see any units in transit. 2) Your item is on backorder and the website will be updated with status. 3) There are 5 units in stock and your order should be filled and shipped within the next few days. 4) You can place the order at the higher price listed on the website or look for it elsewhere and cancel your order with us. Finally, answer #5) One item was listed at that price; your order will not be filled unless we can source item at that price as we will not fill your order and lose money on it. The manager went on to say that the order could sit in backorder status indefinitely. Terrible! Overall Rating

Absolutely flawless service! Maurice is a real asset to eRetail. Not only was he up front about not having it in stock he went out of his way to find the item for me and actually called me back! My only complaint is their choice in shipping firms. 100 lb television arrived as a "curbside" freight drop. Hopefully they will offer more traditional carriers for non-freight shipments in the future (all major carriers will ship up to 150lbs to the door), or will offer a "white-glove" delivery for the price. Having to lug it myself makes the $200 shipping somewhat difficult to swallow, and I could imagine some issues for the unprepared. Regardless, all things considered, definately five stars!
