Superb quality and results.

Strengths:

Very high quality, excellent output.

Delicate, expensive.

Posted Jun 28, 2006 - You always have to be extra careful w/ optical cables folks! They are by their nature more easily damaged than other types of cables. But the extra care in handling is well worth it given the results. I'm currently using these w/ my home theater setup and stereo system, the output quality is superb. I've tried several other brands of varying quality and cost, but these high-end Monster cables are clearly superior in every way, including build and dynamic range. No question these are expensive cables, but of course, you get what your pay for. Would buy again in a heartbeat.

BEST SOUND EVER

EXCELLENT SOUND.

TRICKY TO FIT INTO OUTPUTS.

Posted Sep 19, 2005 - I COMPARED THE AUDIO SOUND OF FIBER OPTIC COMPARED TO HIGH END AUDIO MONSTER COMPONENT, AND YOU CAN REALLY HEAR THE DIFFERENCE. I ASSUMED IT WOULD BE VERY LITTLE, BUT I WAS WRONG. MUST HAVE GOOD RECEIVER AND HOOK UP ON THE DVD OR SAT BOX TO USE.

Posted Oct 17, 2005 - I PAID VERY HIGH PRICE FOR THIS CABLE.. END OF DISAPPOINTMENT! THIS CABLE IS VERY CHEAP MADE! DO YOURSELF A FAVORITE AND BUY THE CHEAPER MODEL THAN THIS ONE! BETTER YET DONT BUY ANY OPITCAL CABLE FROM MONSTER!

Great Cable

Strengths:

Good shileding. Does what it suppose to do

Weaknesses:

No difference in sound quality as any other digital audio cable

Posted Dec 26, 2006 - My DVD player was previously connected using coaxial digital output. I thought by connecting it with the Digital Audio cable it would a difference. To my surprise, there was no real difference. The sound quality is the same with my Onkyo SR703 Receiver. The quality of the cable is very good as there is a good shielding of the wire. If you are paying a lot of money for this cable then get something else. I bought it cheap at a clearance so I am satisfied with the cost / performance.

Very Nice Cable

Monster THX 4' Fiber Optic

Strengths:

Good quality - secure connection - looks like well made product

Weaknesses:

With any monster product - PRICE - the cables are good, but not at regular price.

Posted Nov 25, 2006 - I'm happy with my purchase because I got it significantly discounted; otherwise, Monster is not a good value. I'm happy with this cable because it provides a nice connection with the TV unit. Otherwise, I'm not too particular in buying monster - most cheaper cables are just as good.

Monster Cable

Strengths:

Your typical Optical cable - good threading gives confidence. Very sturdy - good connection.

Weaknesses:

Is it really worth $70? Not any noticeable difference vs. other products.

Posted May 27, 2006 - I bought these from radioshack when they put lots of Mosnster's product on sale. Originally, it comes with a hefty price tag. However, you don't need to think even once when you hear the name Monster. They make quality product with superb performance. You will easily notice the difference as compared to a cheaper one. No doubts, its THX certified. Highly recommended.

Monster Fiber Optic Cable

Strengths:

Posted Dec 16, 2005 - I got an excellent deal on this or I would not have purchased this higher end Monster cable. THX-certified. Enables you to get a true digital signal. Fiber optic connections can be delicate, so be careful when installing or unplugging.
