I called the store 5 days after to ask about the order status, the sale person stated that the product was not in stock and that he does not know when it will be available. The store did not attempt to contact the customer. I canceled the order. Poor service. Not recommend. We are hoping to fill your order in early January. Once the merchandise has arrived..." How can they be both in stock and waiting for it to arrive at their warehouse? After several days with no call, I called them. They said that if I wanted it shipped before January, there was a $200-$300 extra charge for "expedited shipping" plus insurance charges. I cancelled the order and they promised to email a cancellation confirmation. That was four days ago and I still haven't received anything. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! Retailer Response (12/12/2008): Due to the extraordinary holiday demand, only orders with express delivery could be guaranteed for December shipment. There is a $129.00 charge for express delivery listed on our website, NOT $300. Your cancelation acknowledgement is posted on your order status page. We apologize for any misunderstanding and do no appreciate being called crooks. We feel our previous reviews speak for themselves. Customer satisfaction will always be our number one priority. Pricegrabber's high rating and low price to be confirmed when I receive the product in the advertised 2-5 days (for the additional UPS charge of $14.95)--At receipt, receiver arrived on scheduled date, luckily double-boxed as outer was damaged. No marks on item's box and item works as it should. Great price, and probably would have arrived in same time using "free shipping" option. They said that for additional $130 they would ship immediately and order will arrive in time for Christmas. This is obviously a lousy way to raise the price. I won't deal with them again. Retailer Response (12/09/2008): Dear Customer, at this very busy time of year,all TVs that are purchased with our FREE delivery option and must ship via a private freight carrier can take anywhere from 10-15 business days for delivery.We cannot guarantee a Christmas delivery when this shipping option is chosen.The freight company does offer a faster deivery option for those customers who want a faster delivery. This is OPTIONAL and may be chosen at checkout. This only applies to TV purchases.All other items ship FREE via UPS and are shipped in 2-3 days and will arrive in plenty of time for the holidays.
