Strengths: it works, 100feet range, mouse on board, great laser
Weakness: bulky, cumbersome, a bit pricey, no on/off button
This is a great product, but very big. I feel like I’m in the 60s, holding a brick in my hand as a simple PPT clicker. The only reason I went with this is that I couldn’t find anything else that has 100 feet range. I wanted something smaller, but there was no competition for this range. Despite its size it is very light.
It comes with a soft pouch where you can store batteries (it uses 2 AA) and the USB plug (receiver). Unfortunately, the design of the clicker does not support the idea of storing your USB receiver in your clicker (or remote) like many other models do. There is also no on/off button on the clicker. I hate the thought that the batteries will drain by the clicker button(s) being pressed in your bag/backpack.
Each time you press any button on the clicker, the red light which is around the ring on the clicker lights up indicating that you pressed something on the clicker.
The top button on the ring is the laser light, you have two arrows to move to the next or previous slide, and the bottom is to hide the slide (black screen). In the middle you have a mouse (pointer like joystick) which moves very slowly when used. There is a button just below the ring which can be used as the right mouse click. Also, the left mouse click is underneath the clicker – trigger-like.
You can program the right mouse click button for whatever use. I haven’t tried that yet.
