bethapace - (November 29, 2006) We have the Graco Ultra Clear monitor for our first child so there was no question about getting a Graco monitor for number two. Since we could not find the Ultra Clear, we decided to get the Ultra Clear II. It is very difficult to find a spot in the room to place this monitor to hear the baby. It reacts to where it's placed, where we sit, and what appliances we are using at that time. It makes it very difficult to hear the baby.

aloeppky - (October 05, 2006) Zero static! Great picture! The only thing I would improve is that it would be nice if it had an option to automatically scan between the 2 channels every 15 seconds or so when 2 cameras are hooked up so you could monitor both kids at once without having to flip the switch. Otherwise, this is a great buy!

ocmom - (September 20, 2007) I did lots of research before buying this baby monitor. I wasn't sure how a 2.5" screen would be big enough, but it is totally wide enough to see the happenings inside my baby's crib. Our house is 3,000 SF and the range is ample, as well as no interference from cordless phones and wireless computer coverage. My husband easily plugged it into our widescreen TV where we can see our baby on the screen. It's another form of entertainment! highly recommended, though it is expensive.

Angelcare Baby Movement Monitor
bwswtw - (10/22/2009) I bought this monitor about a month ago. My baby is 5 months old, and it has been an absolute life saver! He started rolling over to his belly to sleep, and so I was a nervoud wreck! I bought this monitor, and it really gives me peace of mind when he is sleeping. The parent's device has a volume control, and I keep mine on high. You can hear everything! Sometimes you can hear him breathing, sometimes not. We have had some false alarms, in which the alarm went off and I ran in to check on him, and he had just moved to the bottom of the crib. However, I would still rather have false alarms, than to not have it at all. I really wish I would have had this monitor right from birth! I don't think you would have false alarms if you had a newborn or baby younger than 5 months. My little boy has just starting to roll around, so he doesn't stay in one place while sleeping. I highly recommend this monitor to everyone! It is a must have especially for first time parents, who like me, worry about everything! I get way more sleep than before, because I know that the monitor is on and the alarm will sound if something happens.

A Must have for any new mother
keropi - (10/13/2009) What they are saying about false alarms is sometimes true, but I don't mind a bit, and you can also fix that with turning the sensitivity of the monitor up, I keep mine on the lowest setting, So I get quite a few false alarms. But I would rather a false alarm than no alarm, and waking up to my little one cold. I would buy one of these for every new mother in the world if I could. Much better than video monitors, because you can't watch a video mon all night long, but you can hear a alarm sounding off. They more than pay for themselves with the piece of mind you have knowing your baby is moving around.

dwyiu - (05/18/2009) I bought the Philips Avent DECT Baby Monitor on the advice of another Mom who had tried a cheaper Graco monitor that just put out static and kept needing new batteries. These monitors have great sound quality and are very sensitive (I can hear baby breathing). Their range is also great, and are rechargeable. However, the batteries that come with them are not great. Using the two best batteries I can get one monitor to last about 8 hours. Using the other two batteries that came with the set, I can maybe get 4 hours (this is with maximum volume and maximum sensitivity). This particular model has now been discontinued and it's my understanding that the new Philips Avent monitors have much better batteries.
