Unfortunately, the items should have been packed in an outer box because both boxes were damaged. Also, the shipping email arrived three days after the order shipped; the day the order was delivered. It did say to check the product when received before the shipper left it but that didn't make sense since the chair needed to be put together. Luckily the chair was just fine after I put it together.
