cvn74rmo - (September 18, 2005) The silent brass system was very easy to set up; the box stated all you had to do was plug the thing in, a claim it kept. Barely audible to those in the same room when using the system, it allows instrument practice in a family home without disturbing those around you. The sound resembles playing with a mute through the headphones because of the way the system works, but you can make it as loud as you want with the volume control. The echo feature is kind of nice too, it alleviates that muted sound a little bit.

ellenblack - (April 02, 2006) I don't think anyone would be dissapointed in this trumpet. It really rates up there with the Stomvi and Bach Strad, but doesn't get the attention or credit it deserves. Both of mine had better fit & finish than the Bach.

DaveBelknap - (March 18, 2007) All in all, this is one of two of the best Bach Strads that I have played in MANY years. The other one, a different limited edition model, was not too bad. Personally, I will specify my own material and design requirements and Roy Lawler will do the building. For stock production trumpets, in my opinion, Zig Kanstul takes top honors with his "Chicago" series, specifically the .464 bore and the .470 bore. I own and have used both of these horns with great satisfaction.

Fantastic pro-level horn in sound and quality
Kanstul_Fan - (09/24/2009) I love this horn. If you find one in good shape and want an inexpensive horn that plays and sounds like a pro horn, buy it. It has a beautifully rich tone that plays/sounds wonderful throughout its entire range, it inspires confidence (great slotting, sound, and projection). Has the same specs as a Bach Strad model 37, but has a slightly brighter sound than a Bach. You simply can't beat this horn. Even its valve block is the same as Kanstul's top-of-the-line horns (e.g., 1537). Sam Ash Music Store still has some Besson 800 Internationals left for sale, which are like the 709, except has a reverse leadpipe, giving you a bit more of an open feel.
Bobbee9 - (04/09/2009) This is a great tenor trombone. Tone is So rich, slide is the best I have ever played. This is a perfect tenor Trombone. I love the copper bell. The tone is so out of sight!

rslegon - (12/05/2008) No one in their write mind would buy a gig bag thats this expensive without detailed photos. I went to the miraphone website (a german based brass-instrument company) and they don't even make sousaphones, nor list gig bags for sousaphone on their english site. I am assuming this is a regular tuba gig bag, not a sousaphone gig bag. But alas with no photo... I am shopping around for a sousaphone gig bag and am leaning towards the protec one 'cause at least I can see detailed photos and information about its composition and pricing.
