Avoid this vendor! They advertise low price, send a confirmation email requesting that you call in to verify. Then they try to up-sell you. I didn't buy the 'extras'. The order never arrived and I noticed that the price of the item went up. I sent several emails to their support and they were ignored. Then I called customer service and they told me that the order was closed and that if I still wanted the item, I would have to place another order ..... at the higher price!!!! Wow! |

Unfortunately I found this site a little late...I ordered and they tried to get me with the same scam - told me the battery included was only a 12 min. battery and that I needed to purchase one for using the camera and neither the battery charger nor a warranty was included and I needed to pay extra for those too. I went back later and checked the website and this was all advertised to be included in the original price - so I cancelled the order. |

Huge scam artists. They use bait and switch, upselling, fake advertisements. If they realize that you are onto their game they will actually yell at you over the phone. They also use alternate merchant names to spread uncertainty, do not deal with these people at all costs. |

AVOID THIS STORE!!!! i purchased an SD Camcorder & already knew that what i wanted was complete with all included. a rep called me up, hassled me with add ons that i didn't want and then continued to tell me that i was making a HUGE mistake not taking his advice & woulnd't take NO for an answer. you can't rely on them to be around for questions and try reaching them after 4pm on a Friday, they won't be there even if they advertise closing at 5pm. my advice to shoppers is to stear clear of them |

I ordered a Sony PAL camcorder for $759 as advertised. When I called them the customer service rep wanted me to buy the rechargeable battery as the product which was advertised only shipped with a demo battery, which was not mentioned on their web site, and when I said that I did not want the battery the rep told me that it would take 30 days as they had to order it from Japan, but if I were to order the camera with battery they can ship it immediately for $840. |

This "electronic commerce" site refused to ship, instead sent email advising "order verification". When I called, CSR started asking stupid questions and proceeded with really hard sell offering expensive add-ons. TOTALY DISCUSTING. AVOID THESE CLOWNS AT ALL COST! |

The web site is very misleading. The CSR I talked with was quite rude, when I called to inquire on the price change. Also shipping fees way out of line. Would not recommend them for anything. |

Wow. My experience w/Broadway was very different from everyone else. I bought a Canon 10d last year-no problems. A few days ago I purchased a Sigma 120-300 f/2.8 lens & a Teleconverter. Their price was over $450 less than any other store. I used the Overnight shipping. They charged my card Monday and I got EVERYTHING on Tuesday, as promised and in good working order. Everything is new and in the box, and all items are "U.S.", not "Import". Cust. Serv & Sales were polite, helpful & professional. |

I ordered and sent a check for the SR-VS30U on April 8 for use in my high school broadcasting studio at Northshore High. I called regularly during April and May to check on a delivery date and was finally told that it would come in June b/c it was necessary to order more as they oversold the product. This week on August 11, the check was returned with a post it note with no more explanation than: Product not available. Awful, awful, awful absence of service. |

Broadway Photo had one of the lowest prices for the Panasonic DMC-FZ10S digital camera on one of the price-watch sites. Visited their website--everything looked OK. Next, I called the store. I was told that indeed the price for the camera was $459 and it would cost $19.99 to ship. Order was shipped very fast & complete. I was slightly surprised with a $40 shipping charge, which I was later told included order processing and credit card fees. What a scam! I will never buy from them again!!! |

Scam artists. Placed an order for a digital camera and recieved email requesting I call to confirm order. Informed that I "needed" to purchase an additional battery since the one that comes with the camera only lasts 20 minutes. Also tried to sell overpriced accessories and extended warranty that I did not want or need. When I refused I was informed the camera was actually grey market model and if I wanted a US warranty model price was $50 higher. Needless to say I cancelled the order. |

I wish i had read these reviews before i had purchased from them. I bought a panasonic digital video camera from them. First of all, they are dishonest. What they offer and what they end up shipping are not two in the same. Then, they make it impossible to resolve the issue by placing you on hold for over an hour, and once you do get a rep they are extremely rude. One supervisor even went as far as to accuse me of lying and then called me several nasty names. I would stay clear of them. |

I was told to call a 800 # in order to check the status of my order. I called in the next day to get some information. I was told that I ordered an "import version" of a camera, which didn't have a USA warranty, and that would not be delivered for up to 6 weeks. The website said the item was in stock, and that would ship immediately. The person that I spoke with told me I could 'upgrade' to the American version of the camera, for another $100. I was furious. Very bad experience. |

the folks at bway force you to call in (without notification mind you) so that they can add a step to the hallowed process of online shopping, pressure sales. when I didn't succomb to the first two attacks for extra products, I was asked "which warranty are you going to buy?" not would I like one or a suggestion of one. Upon asking the saleperson to cancel my order I was called stupid and told that they didn't want me as a customer anyway. please don't shop here ever. |

Horrible. Wish I had seen their rating before I bought from them. First of all they said it shipped.. a week later they actually shipped it after numerous calls. All their CS reps are VERY rude. Oh, and they overcharged me $41 (an extra $20 ontop of the normal $20 for shipping, extra $5 for product, and extra $16 for accessories, over quotes prices). You NEVER get a receipt (even by email) with any prices on it, so they feel free to add in charges to your order without you knowing. Horrible. |

Great price on a refurbished Nikon 4300. $285 delivered. Was told the 90 day warranty required a "deductible" of $110 for repair shop to open camera in case repair was needed. But for additional $20 I would get 1 year and be able to use any Nikon repair centers. Both of these statements were untrue. No deductible for the 90 day, which is good. The one year, after some probing, is covered through Broadway Photo but nothing in writing! Not acceptable! I was refunded the $20. Dishonest!! |

Finally told my order was going to cost $50 more than was originally quoted...shipping, handling and insurance... on top of the original $20 shipping charge. Stay away from Broadway Photo. |

I purchased an Olympus C-50. First, I like to make my purchases online to avoid hassle and shop in peace. I got an e-mail the day after I ordered my camera, that I had to call the company to complete the transaction. After I finally got through, I was pressured to buy all sorts of accessories & insurance. Broadway claims all their products are new, but our camera had very obviously been opened before & the memory card, battery & handbooks were simply floating around the box. |
