Bait and switch. Tried to purchase a Nikon Coolpix 995. They tried to sell me an import model with no warranty from Japan. Plus then they said I needed a battery, since it didn't come with one (of course it does). Overall, a very shady deal - I cancelled my order and went elsewhere. Overall Rating

I ordered a sony camcorder PC-110. After 1 week and no delivery I sent E-mail. A seller called home and tried to sell accessories and extra $$ charge for 'rush' delivery. Then, he said I need to buy an AC adaptor because the product used European electric type plugin. I cancelled the order and noticed later they don't have it in stock. They clearly lied. It's no surprise that Broadway Photo already has a bad rating . . . This company will try to scam you and rip you off any way they can! I recently attempted to purchase a Sony DCR TRV-900 with them with Fed Ex 2-day. I called them 4 days later and they told me it would be another 2-3 weeks before they got the camera. Then they told me that the specs. didn't include a battery and other accessories, which is a total lie--it states it on the website. I cancelled immediately. Overall Rating

This company gives used car salesmen a bad name. They will outright lie to you. (Examples: The included battery lasts 1/2 hour. We'll ship that three-day air.) That's just the tip of the iceberg that sank the Titanic. These people are amoral and need to be avoided at all costs. Believe me, you will find a better price somewhere else and you'll be happier in the end. Don't buy anything from Broadway Photo. Overall Rating

I wanted to order a SONY PC110, and they said the advertised one is from Malaysia! They strongly recommend I upgrade the camcorder to a Japanese version for $200 more!!! And they will throw in a $300 lens kit for $99 !!! Are you kiddin' me ?! What idiot dreams up this stuff ?! After I said no, they just hung up !!! Overall Rating

I tried to buy a Sony MVC-CD300 digital camera from them. 24 hours after I ordered, I got an email from them to call them. They then tried to sell me an additional battery charger when I know full well one comes with the camera! Never buy from them, or you'll be sorry! Overall Rating

Just like TommyBoy's review--I called and was ready to purchase when I was asked, "Do you need a battery and charger with that?". My response "No, it comes with it." "No, it doesn't", etc. The whole event turned into a battle between junior high schoolers, but if you've even went to a store to look, this comes with everything you need; their statement is that what you see in stores and other places are a "Kit", and that's complete and total crap. They misrepresent themselves. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Overall Rating

I actually read these reviews two weeks ago and I thought maybe these were just few incidents that happened...boy was I wrong! I placed an on-line order for a VX2000 and the e-mail confirmation said that the order will be processed in 24 hours. Waited 5 days and called, the guy tried selling me $500 warranty, chargers, batteries, and the list goes on and on. I cancelled my order! I don't know how these guys stay in business but I would NOT recommend buying from them. Don't waste your time! Overall Rating

Placed an ordered for Sony TRV900. They called me a few days later trying to sell me overpriced accessories. When I told them I have all the accessories that I need for the camcorder, they went on trying to sell a $500 warranty. When I refused the extras, they told me the camcorder was on backorder and proceeded to cancel my order without my knowledge. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!!!!!!!!! Overall Rating

Boy did I get the ol screw put to me. First I ordered a Canon GL1 from these guys, and they said that it was in stock. Three days later I called to see how the order was doing, and I was then told that there was a back order. If I wanted to buy a $600.00 warranty, they could send the camera sooner. Then I was told that the camera was not a camera built for the USA. No warranty, no accessories, nothing. I wouldn't buy toilet paper from these guys! I got the camera from Beach Camera instead. the prices on their site are just for grey market products. i.e. no warranty, no accessories, etc... they lost my first order. when i called to inqure, they had no records of it in their system. i was told the "deal" i got came with two day delivery...it took over a week to arrive. broadway refused to compensate. Ordered Sony DCRPC9 on 8-13 was told it ship in 2 days, called 8-20 to find out where camera was and was told they needed to confirm order first, subjected to high pressure sales for a warranty & acc. said no and was told camera had "NO" warranty. CANCELLED ORDER - STAY AWAY..BAD..BAD Order from a reputable firm, you may pay a little more but you will be happier Overall Rating

They must take customers for idiots. I was in the market for a Sony Camera that they had listed for $679. After placing the order with BP (credit card $, address, etc.), they then informed me that it was an overseas model witout a US warranty, instructions in English, or accessories. Same experiences as cited on previous messages. When I declined to purchase accessories, the Canon GL1 was suddenly on backorder for 3 weeks. I cancelled the order. When I called back 30 minutes later, i was told that the camera was instock and would ship that day. :-( Overall Rating

I wish I'd known about Pricegrabber and these reviews BEFORE dealing with Turboprice, AllStar and Broadway Photo. I got the same scam at all three vendors -- high pressure to buy warranty and accessories, and camera suddenly becomes backordered and unavailable when I declined everything else. If you need a realy bad day, go ahead and order a camera form these people. The prices are for overseas cameras with no guarentee. There is no other way to put it except this place sucks. I don't really know how they stay in business. Overall Rating
