Wow. My experience w/Broadway was very different from everyone else. I bought a Canon 10d last year-no problems. A few days ago I purchased a Sigma 120-300 f/2.8 lens & a Teleconverter. Their price was over $450 less than any other store. I used the Overnight shipping. They charged my card Monday and I got EVERYTHING on Tuesday, as promised and in good working order. Everything is new and in the box, and all items are "U.S.", not "Import". Cust. Serv & Sales were polite, helpful & professional. |

I bought a very expensive camera from them. Broadway Photos had it for much cheaper than Amazon or any other store. Before buying, I had read many bad reviews and was hesitant, but still decided to call them and judge myself accordingly. I went through really easily. I talked to the operator who seemed reasonable. I made my order over the phone. He did ask several times if I wanted to add anything else to the order, but when I declined, he stopped - nothing intolerable. The only problem I had with the order was the $29.00 fee for "handling and insurance," although my order qualified for free shipping. However, even with that charge, the camera was still a great bargain, so I did not mind paying it. They shipped the order the next day with UPS, and it arrived in 2 days. Everything was included as described. After all doubts I had based on bad reviews of others, I ended up having a really good experience with them. |

Placed order on net, got the confirmation number, declined any overpriced accessories, and got it exactly one week later. the package it came in was almost completely ripped apart and the actual camera box was not sealed or shrinkwrapped. but all the accessories where intact. I won't buy from these guys again for the poor packaging alone. Look around before buying from here and if you have to, shell out the extra 20 bucks for a more reputable Photo Site. dont buy their overpriced accessories |

I purchased an Olympus C-50. First, I like to make my purchases online to avoid hassle and shop in peace. I got an e-mail the day after I ordered my camera, that I had to call the company to complete the transaction. After I finally got through, I was pressured to buy all sorts of accessories & insurance. Broadway claims all their products are new, but our camera had very obviously been opened before & the memory card, battery & handbooks were simply floating around the box. |

Great price on a refurbished Nikon 4300. $285 delivered. Was told the 90 day warranty required a "deductible" of $110 for repair shop to open camera in case repair was needed. But for additional $20 I would get 1 year and be able to use any Nikon repair centers. Both of these statements were untrue. No deductible for the 90 day, which is good. The one year, after some probing, is covered through Broadway Photo but nothing in writing! Not acceptable! I was refunded the $20. Dishonest!! |

Broadway Photo had one of the lowest prices for the Panasonic DMC-FZ10S digital camera on one of the price-watch sites. Visited their website--everything looked OK. Next, I called the store. I was told that indeed the price for the camera was $459 and it would cost $19.99 to ship. Order was shipped very fast & complete. I was slightly surprised with a $40 shipping charge, which I was later told included order processing and credit card fees. What a scam! I will never buy from them again!!! |

I ordered a Sony PAL camcorder for $759 as advertised. When I called them the customer service rep wanted me to buy the rechargeable battery as the product which was advertised only shipped with a demo battery, which was not mentioned on their web site, and when I said that I did not want the battery the rep told me that it would take 30 days as they had to order it from Japan, but if I were to order the camera with battery they can ship it immediately for $840. |

I ordered a Cannon S80 camera from Broadway Photo. The camera arrived within a few day as the promised. I received a small photocopy of one of the user manuals. When I inquired about about the manuals, I was told the cameras were imported from a foregin country and the manuals were not in English. The company offered a free tripod, lens cleaning kit and screen protector that supposedly worth $89.97. If this package is worth $8.99 it would be over priced. I will not purchase from them again. |

Buyer Beware! Ordered a FUJI F460 camera from them as they had a really good deal (and were rated well elsewhere - my mistake from straying form pricegrabber). Was asked to call them, via e-mail, to confirm the order. Salesman talked me into a spare battery for it and "claimed" (falsely) that it was a super duper binford battery and WAY better then the one that comes with the camera. Turns out the specs are the same as include and I they charged 50% more then it's worth. |

Bait and switch. Tried to purchase a Nikon Coolpix 995. They tried to sell me an import model with no warranty from Japan. Plus then they said I needed a battery, since it didn't come with one (of course it does). Overall, a very shady deal - I cancelled my order and went elsewhere. |

I ordered a sony camcorder PC-110. After 1 week and no delivery I sent E-mail. A seller called home and tried to sell accessories and extra $$ charge for 'rush' delivery. Then, he said I need to buy an AC adaptor because the product used European electric type plugin. I cancelled the order and noticed later they don't have it in stock. They clearly lied. I'll never buy from them. |

It's no surprise that Broadway Photo already has a bad rating . . . This company will try to scam you and rip you off any way they can! I recently attempted to purchase a Sony DCR TRV-900 with them with Fed Ex 2-day. I called them 4 days later and they told me it would be another 2-3 weeks before they got the camera. Then they told me that the specs. didn't include a battery and other accessories, which is a total lie--it states it on the website. I cancelled immediately. |

This company gives used car salesmen a bad name. They will outright lie to you. (Examples: The included battery lasts 1/2 hour. We'll ship that three-day air.) That's just the tip of the iceberg that sank the Titanic. These people are amoral and need to be avoided at all costs. Believe me, you will find a better price somewhere else and you'll be happier in the end. Don't buy anything from Broadway Photo. |

I wanted to order a SONY PC110, and they said the advertised one is from Malaysia! They strongly recommend I upgrade the camcorder to a Japanese version for $200 more!!! And they will throw in a $300 lens kit for $99 !!! Are you kiddin' me ?! What idiot dreams up this stuff ?! After I said no, they just hung up !!! |

I tried to buy a Sony MVC-CD300 digital camera from them. 24 hours after I ordered, I got an email from them to call them. They then tried to sell me an additional battery charger when I know full well one comes with the camera! Never buy from them, or you'll be sorry! |

Just like TommyBoy's review--I called and was ready to purchase when I was asked, "Do you need a battery and charger with that?". My response "No, it comes with it." "No, it doesn't", etc. The whole event turned into a battle between junior high schoolers, but if you've even went to a store to look, this comes with everything you need; their statement is that what you see in stores and other places are a "Kit", and that's complete and total crap. They misrepresent themselves. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! |

I actually read these reviews two weeks ago and I thought maybe these were just few incidents that happened...boy was I wrong! I placed an on-line order for a VX2000 and the e-mail confirmation said that the order will be processed in 24 hours. Waited 5 days and called, the guy tried selling me $500 warranty, chargers, batteries, and the list goes on and on. I cancelled my order! I don't know how these guys stay in business but I would NOT recommend buying from them. Don't waste your time! |
