4 Star Review Office 2003 Professional (Full Product, PC)

fhsu3 - (November 03, 2004) For most everyday users, there's not much difference between Office 2003 and Office XP, or even Office 2000. The reasons that I got it is because it's the most recent Office release and it's compatible with Windows XP. I did ran into a bug during installation of the Business Contact Manager. It complained about "not enough space in drive C:" due to the installer miscalculating the available disk space. While the solution provided by Microsoft's support site doesn't work, I did find a solution from Gateway's support site. I just need to add ~107MB of data onto my hard disk and everything went smoothly.

americanoregon - (June 01, 2004) If you don't REALLY need the 2003 version, don't bother. Use your older, familiar versionUnless this is your first copy, then you might as well start here. If you do use 2003 (or XP), you really will need a book or two that explains the new version. And don't count on more productivity unless you are a serious pro on a network. Home and small business users have not gotten much help.

jnatiuk - (June 10, 2004) I am simply not amused. I was expecting, at the least, some stability in this product. I mean, how hard is it to make a Macintosh application that doesn't crash when you try and close and unsaved text document. Seriously! If you haven't experienced the joys of Word v.X or Word 2004. Just try this: Create a blank document. Close it. Boom! No more soup for you! At least PowerPoint allows you to use the Presenter view. And transparency finally displays correctly for imported items (.png, .tif, etc.) But it has crashed on me several times. Overall, just not anywhere near the expectations that Microsoft put forth with its ad campaign. If you are an Entourage user, I suppose the Upgr

5 Star Review Upgrade for Big Savings on Consulting Fees!

ruthperryman - (11/25/2009) For the second year in a row, Intuit has given small businesses a compelling reason to upgrade to QuickBooks Pro 2010. I've been a Quickbooks consultant for 13 years and I don't normally push my clients to upgrade unless their version is 3+ years old. But last year, Intuit introduced a new Client Data Review feature for accountants which allows us to troubleshoot and correct client data entry errors with a few clicks of a button. Common data entry errors that used to take me hours to correct can now be done in minutes! If you've ever had to hire a QuickBooks ProAdvisor or CPA to cleanup your data file, this upgrade is going to more than pay for itself. And don't delay - client data review only works on the data entered in 2009 or 2010, so the sooner you upgrade the sooner you can start saving money!
