I bought a Toshiba 46XV645U 46" 1080p 120hz LCD HDTV from Butterfly. The price of $950 delivered was great, and it was easy to order via their website. Delivery was in four business days with standard service, which is outstanding, and the product looks to be in perfect shape (although I've not plugged it in yet). Here's my beef with my customer service representative, Justin F. Justin claimed that if I DIDN'T spend an extra $50 on EXPRESS shipping, the TV would ship from California instead of NJ, would take 10 business days instead of 5 business days to arrive, plus the delivery window would be 8 hours instead of 4 hours. I used standard shipping and my TV shipped from NJ, arrived in 4 business days, and was delivered within a promised 4 hour window. He was trying to charge me $50 for nothing. I would order from Butterfly again, but I'll watch out for their add on scams. Overall Rating

Easy to use website. Lewis called confirming the order. He was very pleasant, offered express shipping and warranty extention plan. I declined and he accepted. Lewis called back next day to confirmed TV was shipped. And upgraded to express shipping at no charge. SWEET. Connection kit also as an extra had 2 hdmi and 1 set of componet cables. SWEET overall very smooth... good communications....excellent value.... would recommend Butterfly Photo.... ThanksMike Overall Rating

Ordered my camera(good price) with overnight UPS service so I could have it for a trip. They did not ship it for four days...waiting for me to call them to try and sell me other items,battery etc. Only then did they ship it..I consider 5 days NOT a overnight "express shipping. Buyer beware I guess! Will NOT purchase from this company again. I paid for overnight shipping and got 5-day shipping...not a good business model if you ask me.. Overall Rating

I was very happy with ButterflyPhoto. I ordered an LG 42LH90 for an amazing price, which was delivered straight to my bedroom, unpacked and set on the TV stand! I had tried to call the delivery service to see what time I would be getting my TV (I figured around noon time) and couldn't get through right away. Lo and behold it was because Lenny (the delivery man) and the other delivery man with him (sorry, I did not get his name), was already on their way driving to my house and couldn't pick up! I was surprised because I live way uptown in Manhattan and am usually not a first stop for delivery companies like FedEx or UPS. I had called at 9am and they showed up at my apartment around 10:10am today! Extremely prompt and professional service! I will be using Butterfly again in the future, guaranteed :-) Overall Rating

This is the second major purchase I've made through Butterfly Photo because of their great prices, knowledgeable sales staff, and great customer service. You know you're well taken care of when you speak to Justin, who goes the extra mile in helping you find just what you're looking for, getting the best deal possible, and even helping you know your item's shipping details! Lauren in Customer Service went the extra mile to help modify an order so that I wouldn't have to pay extra for something I didn't need after all. I purchased a Toshiba 52" LED on 11/16/09 and recieved the TV without a problem. The carrier that they used was excellent. The problem I found was that Butterfly Photo was quick to charge my credit card but really slow at getting a refund. I purchased the extended warranty, that I have not received as of this reveiw, and negotiated a better rate minutes after they charged my card. I have called them three times about the credit and have been told many different stories. I have called twice about my warranty paperwork , that is time sensitive,and was told two different stories. I would not purchase anything if you are not sure about the purchase and have any questions about a refund. I would stay away from any of the sales trying to sell you extra items (extended warranties ) becuase so far they never pan out. I would not recommend this company to a friend becuase of the outcome and the headache trying to get what I purchased. Overall Rating

(Edited November 25th by randydellinger)  After ordering a plasma TV they called to upsell an extended warranty. The salesman said he would upgrade my order from regular to express shipping if I bought the warranty, so I agreed. It took 7 business days for the TV to arrive, and their business is only 115 miles from my house! [they later called to apologize and blamed the shipping company] The extended warranty is provided by "Consumer Priority Service", so do your own research to see if this is worthwhile, I'll skip this next time. On the positive side, the TV arrived in perfect condition and works great! Free HDMI cables and cleaning kit were included which came in handy. Overall Rating

Delivery was exceptional and fast. I paid for the middle of the road shipping. BP gave me a discount on the shipping which included bringing beyond the threshold. However It wsan't the white glove service. I ordered on a Wed. and product was delievered the following Monday. The delivery service BP used in my area was awesome-Opened the package up explaind the parts how to put it together. It was a fantastic experience from the pricing, purchasing, and delivery. Couldn't have really asked for anything additional. Great Job BP- If I had to say one thing negatively would be when you call in they will, like everyone else does try and sell you all kinds of extras.But every place Ive ordered/buy big ticket items does that-- Would definitely order from again without hesitation! HORRIBLE COMPANY. They have THE worst customer service. I ordered on Sunday; on Tues. got an e-mail telling me to call the customer service so my order could be processed. They wanted to upsell me on some other products before shipping out my order. I spoke to Steve, who is anything but the "magic man", about my order & he said he would have to call me back in 5 minutes, I asked "why?", & he said just a moment. I was on hold for 20 minutes, then he gets back on the line & asks how can he help me?! I said I want to go ahead a cancel my order. Then he tells me he can guarantee that my order will be shipped within the next 24 hours! I said "I want to cancel my order." He said ok well I can have it shipped out within 24 hours & you will have faster shipping...that I would get it in less than 10 business days! I canceled my order. I have my own online business, and this is not how you run a successful business. Excellent customer service and fast order processing/shipping is key. Overall Rating

Was a little put off at first by the additional sales offer for extended warranty and such, but did recieve good value for the extra items - very satisfied. Personal service the guy says... I was never given a refund for that after complaining about the delivery method and lying to me about the delivery time... All packages in the guys truck looked torn and beaten up... I would not buy anything from these people again and if you do then don't pay extra to have PERSONAL DELIVERY its B.S. I called to complain many times and all they would do is give me the delivery guys number and tell me to call him and he barely spoke English... Overall Rating

Order was placed after item was shown on website to be in stock. I paid additional for 3 day shipping and order was not sent out after their advertised 1-2 processing. In calling to inquire, I spoke with Lauren who told me the item was out of stock but they should be receiving a shipment that day. Also I was told that to make amends, they would pick up express shipping to make it up to me. This did not happen. Their website for tracking is a dead end so you have to paste in tracking info to shipper site to find package. I still have not received it. Email was supposed to be sent when order was shipped. Never received it. Prices are higher than other merchants but I went with this merchant based upon recommendation of a friend. If it weren't for their restocking fees, I would have cancelled order before it shipped and gotten things elsewhere to save some money. Original sales staff was fantastic...bit of a hustler but really took care of my original order. Overall Rating
