This is the second major purchase I've made through Butterfly Photo because of their great prices, knowledgeable sales staff, and great customer service. You know you're well taken care of when you speak to Justin, who goes the extra mile in helping you find just what you're looking for, getting the best deal possible, and even helping you know your item's shipping details! Lauren in Customer Service went the extra mile to help modify an order so that I wouldn't have to pay extra for something I didn't need after all. Butterfly Photo provides excellent customer assistance and service with a smile (you can hear it over the phone!) I'll be back again! |

I purchased a Toshiba 52" LED on 11/16/09 and recieved the TV without a problem. The carrier that they used was excellent. The problem I found was that Butterfly Photo was quick to charge my credit card but really slow at getting a refund. I purchased the extended warranty, that I have not received as of this reveiw, and negotiated a better rate minutes after they charged my card. I have called them three times about the credit and have been told many different stories. I have called twice about my warranty paperwork , that is time sensitive,and was told two different stories. I would not purchase anything if you are not sure about the purchase and have any questions about a refund. I would stay away from any of the sales trying to sell you extra items (extended warranties ) becuase so far they never pan out. I would not recommend this company to a friend becuase of the outcome and the headache trying to get what I purchased. |

The website seemed to go out of its way to make very clear the scope of items included and excluded from my order. More information regarding their promoted "add-on" packages would have been helpful. |

(Edited November 25th by randydellinger) After ordering a plasma TV they called to upsell an extended warranty. The salesman said he would upgrade my order from regular to express shipping if I bought the warranty, so I agreed. It took 7 business days for the TV to arrive, and their business is only 115 miles from my house! [they later called to apologize and blamed the shipping company] The extended warranty is provided by "Consumer Priority Service", so do your own research to see if this is worthwhile, I'll skip this next time. On the positive side, the TV arrived in perfect condition and works great! Free HDMI cables and cleaning kit were included which came in handy. |

This was my first order from Butterfly photo, and it was for a Sony cybershot camera. Not only they had the lowest price around, but they also processed and shipped the order quickly. The camera arived nicely packaged, with the manufacturer seal, everything was OK. I would buy again from them. |

Delivery was exceptional and fast. I paid for the middle of the road shipping. BP gave me a discount on the shipping which included bringing beyond the threshold. However It wsan't the white glove service. I ordered on a Wed. and product was delievered the following Monday. The delivery service BP used in my area was awesome-Opened the package up explaind the parts how to put it together. It was a fantastic experience from the pricing, purchasing, and delivery. Couldn't have really asked for anything additional. Great Job BP- If I had to say one thing negatively would be when you call in they will, like everyone else does try and sell you all kinds of extras.But every place Ive ordered/buy big ticket items does that-- Would definitely order from again without hesitation! |

(Edited October 28th by saxman30005) I was lied to about the time it was going to take to get me my product and was SOLD an extra 80 dollar delivery charge to have my TV especially shipped not packed in a freight truck with 50 other TV's... Personal service the guy says... I was never given a refund for that after complaining about the delivery method and lying to me about the delivery time... All packages in the guys truck looked torn and beaten up... I would not buy anything from these people again and if you do then don't pay extra to have PERSONAL DELIVERY its B.S. I called to complain many times and all they would do is give me the delivery guys number and tell me to call him and he barely spoke English... |

Order was placed after item was shown on website to be in stock. I paid additional for 3 day shipping and order was not sent out after their advertised 1-2 processing. In calling to inquire, I spoke with Lauren who told me the item was out of stock but they should be receiving a shipment that day. Also I was told that to make amends, they would pick up express shipping to make it up to me. This did not happen. Their website for tracking is a dead end so you have to paste in tracking info to shipper site to find package. I still have not received it. Email was supposed to be sent when order was shipped. Never received it. Prices are higher than other merchants but I went with this merchant based upon recommendation of a friend. If it weren't for their restocking fees, I would have cancelled order before it shipped and gotten things elsewhere to save some money. Original sales staff was fantastic...bit of a hustler but really took care of my original order. |

Bad experience! I ordered a camera Weds., with the 3-5 days shipping option, in hopes of receiving my camera for a trip 8 days later. However, because I was traveling out-of-country without phone access, I missed them calling to try to upsell me with batteries, memory cards, cases, and extended warranties. This delayed my shipment until I returned and endured their sales pitches, a full 5 days later (Monday), meaning I won't have it in time for my trip. They tried to use the excuse that they needed 48 hours to process orders, and were closed Fri-Sun., though I saw missed calls from them Thur, Fri, and Sun. I ordered a memory card and battery from other vendors the same day I ordered the camera, and those were shipped immediately and here on-time. I didn't appreciate Butterfly Photo waiting to send my product until they tried to sell me more items. This is a horrible business practice. If I wanted any of those items, I would have ordered them on the website! |

Justine was one of the best sales man ever. He was extremely helpful when helping me. He knows quite a bit about slr camera and would give you advice regarding all my specific question. The price was good. Shipping was so fast! Everything was as described. I will be buying again from them very soon as i am eyeing on the nikon 70-200 2.4 g vr 2 lense :) I changed a couple of times and justin would always do his best to change my order and would not even complain for once. This is the type of service we should receive! not from some other stores whom would always give you trouble selling you Grey market stuff or trying to get you to return ur item and earn ur 10% restocking fee. I would recommend everyone to buy from them :)in terms of good price and good services. |

I had a superb experience purchasing my 50" plasma from Butterfly Photo. Their unbeatable price attracted me to order, but their above and beyond customer service is what will lead me to return to them for service in the future. I had a few questions before ordering, so I called the phone number listed on their website. I was connected to Justin at x214 who attended to all of my concerns as well as providing me with a great additional deal. The best part of the entire purchase was how fast it shipped and how soon after it arrived. I ordered around noon and the tv was shipped from their NJ location within a few hours, and Justin even called me to notify me of this - top notch service. I was able to schedule a delivery next day for my SC apartment. The TV arrived two days later where the courteous delivery guys brought it upstairs to my second floor apartment and unpacked it. The TV arrived in mint condition and looks wonderful. I couldn't have asked for any better service. |

I ordered a LG 60PS60 from this company and was very happy. The unit arrived in 7 days with express shipping because it is to big for UPS and has to be sent via truck. The shipping personel put the TV in the room I wanted and helped me get it plugged in so that I could inspect the screen and picture. The TV is gorgeous if you think 60" is to big your wrong. Don't get me wrong it is a huge TV but there isn't anything like it. I went from a 42" to a 60" and it looks like you are in the same room with everyone on the TV because they are about your size. Jason who helped me over the phone was great. If you can afford the time call and order with one of there excellent customer service/sales personel. He walked my order out so that it shipped the same day it was ordered no delay with processing. I will definatly use this company again |

Purchased a 40" Samsung LCD Series 6 TV from Butterfly Photo. I am very satisfied with the service they provided, especially since my bank refused to make the payment despite the fact that I had plenty of money in my account. I have since switched banks. Because of my bank I was forced to contact Butterfly Photo multiple times to get the order pushed through. I got friendly personal service, did not have to deal with multiple agents, and was never lied to. The TV arrived after the bank issue was ironed out in perfect condition, no dead pixels affecting the visible image, no scratches, and no other problems that could come up because of packing. They packed it up well in another box with an excessive amount of packing air pillows. |

Their price was lowest on the web. Shipping was excellent. The TV arrived with what I thought was a defect but it turned out it wasn't. However, in the course of discovering this I experienced very marginal customer service. Each time I called I had to wait on hold approx. 15 to 20 minutes. It is my opinion that had the TV been defective this merchant would not have sent out a replacement, I would have been on my own to contact the manufacturer and resolve the problem. This is very bothersome. If you want good customer support I suggest you shop at a 'brick-n-mortar' location where they most certainly would exchange a defective item. |

As a long ago retired USAF fighter pilot, I knew practically nothing about Point & Shoot digital cameras. Justine walked me through the process of determining my needs and explained the various features of the camera I thought would best fit those needs.
