TopStrengths: easy to use. Solar system. multifunctional. price is good for such a scientific calculator.
Weakness: the fonts are somewhat little, but very clear.
I find it a perfect calculator for any college student. This calculator has many functions which will help you in various courses. And it has solar system, you don't need to buy battery. Small, easy to use, plus good price. It is almost perfect.

TopStrengths: Inexpensive, light weight, and very portable. Can be easily put in the pocket of my shirt. Also provides adequate functions for my daily calculation needs in Finance.
Weakness: Only one key for number storage (i.e., M+/M-). There are no other keys for temporary storage of numbers during calculation.
I feel lucky to get this one because it functions just like the one I had before, which is about 17 years old. For instance, when I want to take the netural log of 5, I can press "5" then press the function key "ln" and get the answer. To me this is really important because many other calculators require the input of "ln" first then the number "5". If you are as old school as I am, this one should be a nice choice.
By the way, unlike many other calculators, the bottons on this one are made of soft rubber rather than hard plastic.

I purchased it only because it is casio and it seems has many functons. I did not realize it is solar one. I like it, because I dont need to buy the battery. It is also very light and compact.

TopStrengths: Easy usage. Price.
This is an excellent calculator with all useful scientific functions. Many of my classmates and professors are using it. I believe that Casio is really a good company to make caculators. The calculator is very easy to use, and is good for your classes like statistics, maths, etc. Highly recommend!!

Weakness: When there is no light the calculator will not work.
This calculator is a wonderful calculator to use. I like the buttons. They are soft and easy to be pressed. I also think that this calculator could be use for life (if it does not break). When I grow up and I need a calculator this could be useful because it could do simply math and scientific math. This calculator is great for any students and even adults. Other calculators are really big and heavy but this one is handy and light so I do not feel that my schoolbag is heavier with the one calculator. Other calculator needs batteries but this is Solar Power!!! I do not need to waste money for batteries very time the batteries ran out! I would recommend to anyone who needs a calculator.

Weakness: Display goes away in dim light or even in your own shadow
Easy to use standard functions for scientific notation, math, trigonometry and statistics. Backspace function is sure to save you some time. Thin, light weight with hard cover that slides into pocket.
Most places you will use it are well lit but imagine yourself helpless in a corner of examination hall with your shadow on the calculator blocking the light. Like some other solar calculators there is no off button here and does not seem to store any energy.
I would recommend something that takes both solar and battery with an off button. If light is enough for operator it should be enough for calculator. If you are more fearless than I am then it is a five star.

Good Calculator

The FX-260 is a great calculator for most students. It has over 140 functions. Although the calculator can be used in college-level math classes such as Statistics, it doesn't come with any Calculus functions or an Equation Solver. The calculator is really lightweight and compact. It is permitted on AP & SAT exams. The calculator is Solar powered...so, no batteries needed! This calculator is definitely recommended to anyone looking for a good/basic scientific calculator.
