Decent lens
Strengths:
Seems to have quite good resolution across the whole image at extreme telephoto.
Weaknesses:
Shows dark outline at outer edges at half zoom to wide angle.
Posted Jan 12, 2008 - Seems a good buy but I find this lens has issues when used with Sony HD camcorder HDR-HC7. Between half and wide angle zoom it appears that the edge of the lens leaves a darkened margin in the outer corners. Also, the rubber hood that is supplied with the lens can come into play in the same way at wider angles than full telephoto..
