5 Star Review Telephoto lens makes a great handycam accessory.

Strengths:

Achieves macro and zoom shots with clarity.

Weaknesses:

For flash photography when using the lens, one must use external lighting or an add-on flash. The wide lens partially obstructs the built-in flash resulting in a shadowed subject.

Posted Aug 12, 2006 - Very pleased with results. The lens feels durable due to aluminum construction. As the lens is relatively heavy, it takes a little practice to screw the lens on straight. Until you get the feel for the threading, it helps to stand the handycam on its back end on a table with the lens pointing up.

5 Star ReviewI don't know the difference between the "high grad ...

Strengths:

Does not give "halo" effect. Gave my camera 20x with no quality loss!!!

Weaknesses:

Kinda big and heavier then I thought.

Posted Apr 12, 2005 - I don't know the difference between the "high grade" and "normal" versions but I went with the high grade. Seems to have worked out well.
