haami - (November 10, 2005) This 5-pack bundle offers excellent per-item value, especially if purchased from a site with free shipping. I ended up getting these tapes for less than 2 bucks a piece. Also, with the exception of Sony tapes, all DV tapes are pretty generic -- this entry-level product is pretty much the exact same tape as an equivalent bottom-rung tape from JVC, Maxell, or whoever. (You may have already heard that DV tapes are all dry-lube, except Sony, whose wet-lube tapes are totally different... not necessarily better, mind you... just different. Pick one type and stick with it, and make sure you don't mix wet and dry lube tapes in the same camera because the wet and dry lube residues can combine to form

vmsunil - (December 23, 2004) I have used this tape for more than a fortnight now and found the quality of images to be fine. Beginners go for cheaper stuff like Sony DVM80PRL.

mercyboy - (February 28, 2006) This tape seems to be a good midpoint between regular mini-DV cassettes and the more expensive Sony DigitalMaster mini-DV tapes. Still a bit pricey per cassette, but I have experienced dropouts on regular mini-DV tapes many times, so on a relative basis, a few extra bucks to help insure you record what you see and hear is totally worth it.

5 Star Review Big Difference Compared to Sony Media

camHead - (03/19/2009) There is a big difference here. No difference in quality, very big difference in price. Don't be a knuckle head buy the JVC media or waste your money on a name. Don't get me wrong... The Sony name is on many superior products. Not the case here.

3 Star Review Good, but obsolete

hk2008 - (07/07/2008) a must-have if you still use this microMV that never caught on. tapes are still very expensive and hard to find nowadays but still produces good quality for those who use it. you may be better off with a miniDV camcorder.

savitharajesh - (06/30/2008) Memorex is a reputable company. Buying a set for my cousin. Already used and very satisfied. Will highle recommend. Also have tried using Sony product and comparable. Sony charge 20 for 3 discs. This is a great price.
