DZGX3300A DVD Digital Camcorder (3.3MP, 10x Opt, 500x Dig, 2.7
Strengths: Excellent resolution!!
True 16/9 widescreen recording.
Ease of use.
Quality of low light recordings! (0,3LUX in low light mode!)
Weaknesses: None so far...
Summary: 2007-04-27 02:39:01 I really enjoy this camera! I purchased it as a replacement for my panasonic vdr-m30 which does not record in widescreen mode.
This Hitachi videocamera is excellent! You will be wowed by the resolution of the picture and the accurate (though vivid) colours!
The low light performance is really good. (It's a shame the camera does not come with infrared nightshot though...)
A plus is also that you do not need a dvd-holder to place you discs.
Another feature I really love is the sleep/restart button! Which allows you to pause a recording, rather than each time having to close the session and having to wait before you can record again.
The menu is easy to navigate through. (compare to Panasonic or Sony) Though it is not touch screen. (but that does not bother me at all)
The picture come out quite good as well, which probalby has to do with the fact that it has a 3,3 megapixel CCD.
The lens has a diameter of 37 mm and accepts filter :o)
All in all it's a pretty good camera, and I don't thing you will find another camcorder with these specs for around 360$. (Used to cost 800$ in 2006 this camera!!)
I give it on a scale from 0-10 about 8,5/10.
:o)
