Sony Handycam dcr-dvd508

Strengths:

small, easy to use, light weight, pretty good picture quality.

Weaknesses:

A little pricey, will not play in older dvd players & mini-dvd's have a shorter record time.

Posted Jul 2, 2007 - This camcorder is a very nice unit for the average family who wants to record directly onto mini dvd's. I found the picture and sound quality are good, it is a sony after all. Also, I only buy rw-dvd, because you can erase the taped stuff you don't want, then burn it to a regular dvd & keep using the rw-mini dvd's to help cut down on the cost.

Awesome camera.

Strengths:

Video quality!

Weaknesses:

Nothing!

Posted Sep 10, 2007 - Video quality is crisp and clear. Picture quality is good. The camcorder is easy to use. Very light and portable. Lots of fabulous features. It took me approximately 15 minutes to install the software onto my computer. Don't have any complaints.
