PC/Mac - MPN: SVAV10
Strengths: very very small
Weakness: video quality
I like it a lot... I take it everywhere.... but if you are looking to replace you actual video camara or picture camara it with forget it ...
It does not the best video quality, no ramdom option on mp3 player,no way to convert video ASF to another format so it can be copy to a DVD...
Is great for sharing via internet...
The quality of the video is the quality of a internet video..It will never be as a normal video camera.
This ewear product is the best option if you dont have any of those features in other product

TopStrengths: Size, ease of use
Weakness: Quality
I knew going in that this product was not going to take super high resolution videos and photos, so I was not disappointed with the quality. Buy it if you want a cheap all in one solution that is easy to use and you can take anywhere. I got it as an open box at Circuit City for $189, their list price in store was $269.

TopStrengths: Cool looking, small, good MP3 quality
Weakness: very poor digital quality
I bought this little device as a way of getting an affordable digital video system, but I was extremely disappointed.
The digital stills are highly distorted, with a curved-like appearance because of the lens.
The moving digital is extremely primitive: choppy with motion and sound not synchronized at all. OK for Web cam fun but way below standard quality.
If you want good MP3 quality (and appearance that's REALLY cool), get Panasonic's SV-80, the tiny MP3. The sound quality is amazing and it's so cool to look at.
Forget the SV-10 for quality. Get it only if you want amateur stuff.

TopStrengths: smallest digital video cam anywhere. Great price.
Weakness: jpgs are low-res. video frame rate low. included editing software stinks.
This is not a replacement for a video camera, but for capturing first-person sports videos it's hard to beat .. especially for $350. You can put this camera places that you'd never put a regular video camera! Frame rate is a little jerky, but easily good enough for sending video emails to friends. Get a 128M SD-Flash card and you'll have 40 minutes of video time at the highest quality (forget about the lower quality options .. too blurry) or about 1000 jpg's!
One downside. The SV-AV10 uses the asf format (advanced streaming format) for video files which I understand is patented by Microsoft. This means that you can't find a native asf editor anywhere short of $500. I finally found a asf to mpg converter (tmpgenc) and now I can use any video editing software. The garbage included with the camera (SD - MovieStage) doesn't deserve to be called a video editor. The camera also ships with RealPlayer to handle the SD-Flash card formatting and loading of audio data. No, you can't just copy mp3s to the card and play them.
The card, though, looks like just another drive to Windows, so grabbing all those photos, voice files and videos is FAST .. no messy software application to get in the way.
I bought it for the video, but it's so small I carry it everywhere and capture low-res (640x480) snapshots. You'll get used to the tiny little buttons after awhile ..
I love it!

Panasonic SV-AV10 Ewear A/V Recorder/Player
Strengths: For it's size, this unit packs a real punch!
Weakness: No zoom, but what do you expect for $300!
This unit is incredible for a variety of reasons; it’s a pocket-sized piece of electronics that records digital video, stills, voice/audio and plays MP3’s – all wrapped up in one. The AV10 also comes with a 64MB SD memory card, which are about the size of a postage stamp. Actually I’m planning on buying another SD card (256MB) not just for more storage - these cards have fast data rates and easily store multiple formats including the MPEG4 video and JPEG photos that you shoot using the unit. The MPEG4 video clips and JPEG photos can also be transferred to your PC by plugging the reader/writer adapter into your computer, where you can add effects, email, or post online. Using the 64MB SD card that comes with it, you can record as much as 80 minutes of video. God knows how many minutes of video you can store if use a 256MB card – doing the math I would imagine it would store 320 minutes or so in the economy mode. Finally, as for stills, the 64MB SD card will hold approximately 1760 pictures depending upon what you shoot of course. So I’ve been taking this handy dandy thing with me pretty much everywhere. Actually I was really happy I had it the other day when I needed to take pictures of cars that I wanted to show a friend of mine (I sent him an email with the shots attached).
I’m pretty happy with it and use more often than I originally thought and you probably will too.
