Good price, good quality
Sony's 610 DVD Camcorder is a decent one for the price. It's very easy to use, pretty much just plug and play. It has great features, including the nightshot. It's also a comfortable size to hold.
On automode, the camcorder has a hard time focusing and can be very blurry at times. Good lighting is required for a good video, for the most part. The user guide is also a little lengthy.
Posted 1 year ago - This handycam is pretty good quality. It feels as though it is created with quality materials and of course has a great name behind it. When recording my 1 yr. old son, the camera attempts to correct the blur and tries to focus, but stays very blurry at times due to motion from my "can't stand still" son. We also rarely keep a lot of lights on at home, and I've noticed the camcorder really picks up on the lack of light. The picture quality is dull and it doesn't adjust well to darker or dimmer environments. But, overall, it's a great camera, and very easy to use.
