robv2 - (December 06, 2003) Makes life easier for people who have trouble opening jars. Ends my wife's frequent request to open a jar for me, which sometimes I can't even open.

look2the3 - (December 28, 2003) This product was purchased for a senior citizen and it has been wonderful! It gives back some independence where there use to be frustration with a simple daily function of opening jars. Now this can be done without assistance and it is wonderful. The product operates very simply and is very efficient. We recommend it to anyone of any age. It is much safer than running hot water over jars to open them or trying to use knives to pry open the seals. This is the safest thing around and everyone should have it in the kitchen! I wish they would have come up with this year ago!

farmdudette - (December 04, 2003) I was really kind of skeptical about this product because I had not seen any appliance like it before & I was not sure that it would work well for me. Well, it does!! I used to hit jars with hammers, try to use wrenches or wait hours for my husband to come home or go to a neighbors house just to get a jar open. I really didn't think this appliance could adapt to different sizes of jars, but it does a great job so far. This will save me hours of frustration.

sid27 - (02/15/2009) I have to hide this because kids think it's fascinating! It sort of crawls around, but gets the job done perfectly.I actually had had to stop buying pickles because I couldn't open the jars. No more!

lhilyard - (01/19/2009) Does a good job opening cans once the can is properly positioned. However, it is difficult to position because the can must be placed off-center; the guide wheel/cog is not centered under the top of the movable opener head portion and the large top of that removable head blocks your view of where you are trying to align the can with the cog wneel. If not poitioned properly, it starts tearing off pieces of the label and doesn't puncture the can. When you lift the handle of the removable head up high enough to see where you are placing the can, the head comes out and falls off. It also frequently splashes you with liquid from the can when it is done opening the can and the lid pops up when the action stops. I am definitely looking for a replacement.

mozillafirefix - (12/05/2008) We are very disappointed with this can opener. First of all, it appears much larger than in the picture (my fault, maybe I should have checked its actual size before purchase). Neither is it a "space maker", as it takes so much vertical space and just looks stupid when mounted under our cabinet. In terms of functionality, we feel its knife sharpener and bottle opener just a joke as they are not powered at all and appear to be cheaply made. The can opener simply does not work as it supposed to, oh well, that might be because I started to hate it since the moment I opened it and did not really walk through the learning curve...
