Strengths:Lightweight aluminum construction; quiet LED fans w/filters; good airflow; LED temperature sensors; screwless installation; roomy; carrying bag; beautiful design; good support forum at NZXT website
Weaknesses:"brushed aluminum" front is really metallic paint on plastic
Posted Apr 17, 2006 - My only gripe is that NZXT should have used real brushed aluminum for the front to complete this nearly-perfect case. The rest of the Lexa is mostly aluminum, so to skimp on this is a shame. With that said, the paint job is very well done, and you'd have to be convinced it's not real metal. The concern is that the finish would not last as long.
Other than that, this case was everything I was looking for. It manages to appeal to overclocking enthusiasts with great airflow from 4 very quiet fans (3 120mm and 1 80mm included, room for 1 more 80mm; intake points are all dust-filtered), a windowed side panel to display all your hardware and LED gear, plenty of room for exansion, and screwless installation. Not only that, but NZXT manages to put all this in one beautifully designed and extremely quiet and lightweight package. The amazing quality can be seen with the filed edges, magnetically sealed door, LED temperature display, and great paint job. The forum at the NZXT website is great too for support.
I was deciding between this and the Antec P180, but it seemed like so many people had the Antec. I don't regret my decision at all, after a month. I actually got the version without a power supply so I could choose my own.
