Strengths:Great Looking, Ample Space, Air Flow, Cable Management, Dust Filters for Fans, Solidly Built, Many design improvements over Antec 900
Weaknesses:Plain Stick-on Rubber Feet, Price, Wish I could turn off LEDs on Fans, Heavy, PSU cables may be too short to reach
Posted 1 year ago - Absolutely Great Case! I've owned many top of the line gamer cases, and this would have to be my favorite. It is truly a well designed case and great looking to boot. It is all black inside and out. All fans have Blue LEDs. Personally I would have liked no LEDs, but if I have to have them blue is the best color. The fans have speed controls on the outside of the case which makes it easy to change speeds without digging inside the case. The hard drive bays have been redesigned to use long specialty screws which make installing the hard drives a cinch. Only downside is to not lose the screws. This is a far improvement from the Antec 900 where my single greatest complaint was installing the hard drives. A normal screwdriver with magnetic bits wouldn't fit, and I was forced to use a non-magnetic screwdriver with the drive bay being held upside down on its side to install the screws. Needless to say not fun! Antec does seem to listen to their customers and makes revisions on their cases to make their customers happy. I love the cable management solution. They now have holes along the motherboard tray where you can place the cables behind the motherboard tray to conceal them from view. This improves the neatness of the case and helps the air flow. It is much easier to work on the inside of this case since it is larger than the Antec 900. There is now a couple of inches between the motherboard and the top fan and the power supply. There isn't any problem plugging cables onto the motherboard in certain spots anymore. There is now an eSATA connector included on the front ports of this case. There is also a flat space on top of the case that is large enough to store an external hard drive. It is obviously designed for that because the case is even set where the plastic on the top of the case keeps the cables in place as they run across it. It is simple things like that that let a buyer know that a lot of work and design has gone into making this case great. The only thing I would maybe change on the next revision is the stick-on rubber feet. When I was moving it to on top of my desk one came off. I was able to put it back on, but a better solution could be done to make the case even better. Also, don't buy this if you plan to move it a lot and don't have a good back. It is a solid case but heavy especially if you load it down with lots of hard drives or other hardware.
