I've used the "older" Nokia batteries and this works just as well, maybe even better, considering the price. The BLC2 battery is an excellent value.

TopStrengths: inexpensive, long service life
Weakness: relatively low ampere hour capacity
If this battery is propery maintained it is perhaps the best value in amp-hours per dollar available. I have obtained almost 3 years of service life from the original BLC-2 battery in my Nokia 6010 phone. To maximize service life you should always deep cycle the battery (full charge to almost full discharge) and remove it from charger ASAP after fulling charging (do not float the battery on charger).

This is the ideal replacement battery for the BMC-3 battery used in the Nokia 3390 or similar phone. Before replacing battery, my phone would need daily recharging, but now it lasts for days. This battery is Lithium-ion instead of the original NiMH battery, which means it is capable of holding a charge longer. Nokia.com rates it at 950mAh. There is no need to replace your battery with the exact model# of battery. This one is a better replacement of the BMC-3 battery. It's also lighter. I bought it for under $5 through pricegrabber! (originalwireless.com)
One year later and this battery still only needs a few charges per week.

Weakness: Battery held charge only half as long as original one year old battery
Battery only held charge for approximately two to three days. Recharged battery per instructions three times with no improvement. Went back to orignal battery, which lasts four to five days.

TopI've only been using the battery for about 30 days so I can't speak for its longevity. It definitely was an improvement from the 4+ year old original battery.

TopThis is the slim version of the BLC-2 battery. Charge does not hold very long, but I can make several phone calls at a time. Recharging time appears to be very slow. I did follow the instructions (empty three times and fully recharge) but it does not seem to "exercise" the battery.

I can not see any visually differenc in the battery I had and the one I purchased. The time between charges seem to be the same as the OEM battery

Nokia 3390 Battery
Strengths: Holds a charge well
Weakness: None so far
The old battery would not hold a charge. When turning on initially it indicated a ful charge, but when I started t use it it said it needed to be charged. the new battery is totally different. I can use it and put it down several times over several hours and it still has a charge.
