Weakness: A small case included would be cool and an adapter for the Ipod & Iphone needs to be added.
I bought this for my Ipod and LG Dare Cell phone mainly, but am pleased to see it works great for my Garmin GPS too! I do alot of hiking, camping, & biking, and had been looking for a device like this to keep my electronics on charge. It is a great portable size as well as lightweight, and holds a sufficient enough juice to charge my Ipod Touch and phone easily. I love knowing that I can bring along a good supply of extra power wherever I go, and it is even better knowing that I can get that power free through the solar cells. The i9005 is very flexible, as it comes with 7 adapters included, as well as a USB connection port that will allow most cell phones and electronics to function with it. My LG Dare standard plug has a male usb connector, so all I have to do is plug it right into the i 9005 for charging...easy! This device is well designed and works well. I like the led lights that let you know where you are towards achieving a full charge, and I love the built in flashlight-very bright! Great to know that this device has a voltage selector switch (4.5V, 5V, 6.3V, and 9V) that can give the correct power transfer to your specific device.
I just wish I had the i9005 last month when we lost power for three days! All I had was a wind up flashlight and my cell phone died early on day two! The worst part was that we have a three month old baby and were snowed in with no power and no way to communicate out. We were ill prepared and that will not be the case next time. The i9005 will go a long way towards our peace of mind in an emergency like that, just knowing that in a worst case scenario that we can get the power for our phones from the sun. Can't wait to take it camping this summer too! Thanks for a great product!

The Most Potent Solar Battery/Charger. Period!

Weakness: No pinhole if you want to attach it to the backpack, but it works fine if you just put it in the netting.
Well, i tried them all: monkey, solio, other exotic ones, until i finally have settled on icetech solar i9005. And here's why...
I have a fortune to work as a hardware engineer, so i can use some tools to test the outputs and stated vs. real.
When choosing a solar battery - look at the capacity: most will have 500-750mAh. This is like a BBgun. Not serious really.
At 1200mAh - your battery will work ok on the regular Razor-type cellphones and mp3 players only. Of course you can add 10-15 minutes of talking time for your PDA, but ask yourself if 3 hours of charging are worth it.
iceTECH's Solar i9005 has immense 2850mAh. It works perfect for any PDAs, GPS (with Li-Ion batteries), mp4s, mp4 players, iPods, and Blackberries alike.
When fully charged it will charge my PDA over 4 times from 0 to full. You can charge it from the Sun (10-12 hours from 0% to 100%) or from the AC - 4-5hours (adapter included). Take it with you after and you have a portable back-up battery whenever you need it. It can't compare to anything else really. Covered with rubberized plastic (hard to damage), splash-resistant - it all makes it ideal for any of your adventures.

Another neat perk for the nerds - i9005 comes with a built-in ultrabright LED flashlight, - so bright that you'll go blind for a bit if you look straight in it. All that splendor for $89.99 only. And if you are short on money or have a relatively small cellphone/mp3 player - try icetech i101 (1350mAh) for $29.99. Just my 2c, hope this would be helpful.
PS: it has 7 adapters bundled for various cellphones, players, GPS, PDAs. I needed a different one for my PDA (from Europe) so i contacted the company - they went extra mile to find me the right one and! it was under $5.00!
