4 Star Review Good productt

Strengths:

Loud volume (and my ears are 60+ years old). Very comfortable. You forget it is there. Can be configured for either left or right ear.

Weaknesses:

None found yet.

Posted Nov 27, 2005 - Only gave 4 stars because I can't yet rate it for longevity. After reading reviews of this and other headsets where users give conflicting ratings, I have come to the conclusion that since no two ears are the same (even on the same head), that users should try out a headset for fit and comfort the way one would when buying a pair of shoes. I bought a BT headset in 12/03 (a Cardo "Always" brand), but never used it after the first several days because it wasn't comfortable. I can wear this all day w. and forget it is there. ...mike

5 Star Review Motorola BT H500 headset

Strengths:

Long battery life, good signal strength, lightweight, shares charger with V3.

Weaknesses:

turns on in pocket too easily, speaker could be louder.

Posted Nov 30, 2005 - Tested this unit in the office and it maintained a clear link for over 60ft even with cubicles in the way. The charger is the same mini compact USB type that ships with the V3 razr. You can turn the blinky blue light off if you want to. Tested this unit in the car and even with windows down could have a clear conversation. It isn't so good in high wind, but then again not even the wired headsets are. My only wish is they would increase the volume a bit.

4 Star Review Motorola Genuine Bluetooth Headset H500

Strengths:

Good range, lightweight, easily pairs with all my devices, priced right!

Weaknesses:

Only supports Bluetooth V1.2, volume output not as high as on some models

Posted Nov 12, 2005 - Overall I consider this headset a great value. The headset worked perfectly out of the box and was easy to pair with all my devices. The range was consistent and except for the slightly lower volume which may only be a problem in loud environments I would highly recommend this unit.

3 Star Review Good Choice

Strengths:

Ease of use, design, size, battery life

Weaknesses:

Volume too low for car use

Posted Nov 5, 2005 - This is a great little headset, quality of connection and sound are good at both ends of the call, and the device is very easy to set-up and use. only complaint is the volume of the headset, which is insufficient in nmy opinion at cruising speeds above 60 mph (cabin noise is higher than average in my car - BMW M3). But I hear this is a common complaint with all bluetooth sets.

5 Star Review Motorola Genuine Bluetooth Headset H500

Strengths:

Light, Easy to use, clear

Weaknesses:

Manual is bad, Drop signal

Posted Oct 13, 2005 - Its a good headset...have this for 2 weeks. Made pretty good in terms of construction, not flimsy. Fell out of pocket on the concrete yet did not hurt. Its small and attractive. User Manual is bad...does not describe anything properly. Since it has a multi function button, it will take time to figure out how to use it but it works. Sound quality is better than previous models but not enough. Connection quality is good...thou it dropped the signal once when it was only 1 feet away..but again its once. Connects pretty fast to the phone. Fits well on the ear. Battery life is very good. Once the phone is paired with the headset and phone bluetooth connection is ON, u can switch off the headset to save battery. When the phone rings, u can press the MFB(multi function button) on the headset for 2 sec to connect fast and then u can take call. This is the best feature which will save both phone battery as well as headset battery as u do not have to switch ON the headset always...just keep the phone bluetooth connection switched ON.

4 Star Review An excellent bluetooth headset

Strengths:

Range. Audio quality. Fit and weight on ear.

Weaknesses:

Only Bluetooth v1.2, not the latest standard, 2.0.

Posted Sep 29, 2005 - Folks, this is a great headset. It fits well. A little loose because its light, but after awhile, you realize that it won't fall off and stop worrying about it. The range is great. So is the battery life. And most important of all, the audio quality is as good as standard headsets if not better.

5 Star Review bluetooth

Strengths:

great headset ( quality of reception is great) I got one with my cellphone-- this one is a present for my husband for xmas (he is jealous)

Weaknesses:

none

Posted Nov 25, 2005 - purchase was a breeze-- nothing else will done on the pricing. If you had the old fashoned wired one, this will revolutionize you. it stays put and has wonderful quality. I can not say enough about how awesome it is.

Posted Sep 15, 2005 - The ease of finding the product was fantastic. I received my order in two days. Excellent service. I am a first time price grabber user and will definetely use it again. The H500 is so small yet so effective. I'm very happy with it.

1 Star Review Piece of Junk. Totally useless. Best thrown in the trash!

Strengths:

Easy to pair, lightweight. That's about it.

Weaknesses:

Lousy reception, voice recognition fails whenever there is any background noise. Volumne buttons small and unmarked. Tends to swing away from ear.

Posted May 29, 2007 - Totally disappointed with this headset. I bought it with the intent of using it while driving. I patiently attempted to use it a few times in the car. Well forget that idea. It failed miserably. The only place this thing works is in the library or a morge. The voice recognition fails to work and reception is poor if there is ANY background noise whatsoever. The person called can't even hear or recognize who you are. I wouldn't give this thing to my worst enemy. I threw it in the trash because that's truly where it belongs. Buyers beware if you are looking for a wireless headset for use while driving. Save your money and look elsewhere.

4 Star Review Great buy for any RAZR owner

Strengths:

Comfortable, lightweight, easy to set-up and operate.

Weaknesses:

Voice-dial function has trouble recognizing names when driving with windows down.

Posted Mar 15, 2006 - Call quality actually improves when I use this headset with my RAZR, as it eliminates the background buzzing I often hear when using the phone normally. I'm not sure why that occurs, but whatever the reason, it solves one of the issues I had with the RAZR. Additionally, since the RAZR is so tiny, and uncomfortable to balance between my ear and shoulder, I can now do two-handed tasks while talking on the phone.

5 Star Review Motorola H500 -- Highly recommended.

Strengths:

Good reception, great battery life, rechargable. Highly recommended.

Weaknesses:

Small -- easy to lose. Slightly quiet when traveling at 75-80 mph due to background road noise.

Posted Feb 23, 2006 - Been using this bluetooth headset with my V3 RAZR, easy to add to the phone and the headset feels great in my ear. Highly recommended -- best bluetooth headset on the market for the price.

Strengths:

Fast Shipping. Good Communication. Would definately deal with this seller again

Weaknesses:

Posted Feb 7, 2006 - Product seems to have a slight problem with disconecting itself automatically from the phone. Gets a little annoying at times and only happens now and then but its notable I suppose. Other than that it works as promised

4 Star Review For anyone buying their first bluetooth headset

Strengths:

easy pairing, good sound quality, great fit, light-weight, ease of use

Weaknesses:

static on recipient end

Posted Jan 27, 2006 - To start off I should tell you that this is my first bluetooth headset. So having said that it is important to note that I could easily get the headset on within a few days. I got used to it very quickly and didn't even realize it was on my ear. The volume on my end is great. I have read reviews that it is not loud enough but I disagree. I can easily pick up calls without touching my phone. Same goes for hanging up. I can turn the volume up or down with ease as well. I absolutely love this headset and would highly recommend this to anyone who is going to get their first headset. But... Here comes the bad news... Unfortunately I have been getting constant complaints from friends who I call that they hear a hum/static on their end when I am on the headset. It disappoints me that a headset which is great in every way has to lack in one important aspect. I was going to give it two stars but I really like it except for complaints I keep getting from friends. Please leave comments if you notice the same issue. Maybe I have a defective headset possibly as no one has complained about the similar issue.

4 Star Review Feels like ... nothing at all ...

Strengths:

Light weight, comfortable, easy to use.

Weaknesses:

can pick up a lot in noisy areas, battery life, must have bluetooth phone for use

Posted Jan 11, 2006 - I bought this headset for my wife and she loves it. It is very good for when you are driving or just don't like wires. Right out of the package (minus charge time) it synced with her phone (Sony Ericsson z520a) and she was able to connect, send and receive calls. It is so lightweight that one time I used it, I forgot I had it on. There are times when she has the window open or is in a noisy restaurant, I can hear background noise or static. But for the most part it is clear. My brother got the HS850 Model, which looks cool & cost more but in my opinion does not work as well. (Has collapsing boom mic, open-turn on, close-turn off)
