4 Star Review My H350 Experience

Strengths:

BT 2.0

Weaknesses:

None so far (when used with my cell).

Posted Feb 20, 2007 - After initially purchasing the H350 for my PS3, I decided to get a BT capable phone from Cingular and try it out. ------- The Motorola H350 has all the features that you would want in a headset for both a cell phone and gaming on the PS3. It's BT 2.0, small, lasts about 7 hours in talk time, and boasts an impressive 150 hour stand-by time. ------- On my phone, it connects very well. The call button makes it easy to answer any incoming call quickly and easily. The volume level is adjustable, but a bit touchy (it takes some time for the headset to respond to the push of the button). ------- The headset is adjustable so it can be worn on either the left or right ear. It sits very comfortably on my ear for hours with no problems. ------- The call quality is very good with the signal rarely dropping and reconnecting. Therefore, for use with a cell phone I recommend this headset very much. Below may not be applicable for many of you as it applies only with how the BT headset works with the PS3. -------- I have to re-pair it with my PS3 every time I turn it on in order for it to function properly. Another negative aspect is that if you accidentally turn off/push the call button on the headset while online, it must be re-paried. Thus, my advice is if you use this device with the PS3, try to avoid pushing the call button at all costs. -------- Be sure also to keep your TV's volume down or stand a good distance away or else the headset will pick up the noise from your set.

1 Star Review It would be such a shame to LOSE the person who has already proven to be a ROYAL customer......

Strengths:

When this headset did work, it did have a decent reception and clarity.(no complaints made to me when I was on calls)

Weaknesses:

This headset only worked for about 1week or so, then stopped connecting to my phone.

Posted Sep 18, 2007 - I purchased the headset on or about Monday August 13th, 2007 I did receive the package very promptly in about a couple days and the headset did work for about a week or two. Then it completely stopped registering with my phone. I reset it several times I followed the instructions to the "T" but it didn't work anymore. I replied to the last email requesting the product review but because I didn't want to leave a bad review I stalled and instead replied begging for assistance with the matter. I did receive an email in reply from the seller on Wednesday September 5th, 2007, apologizing and advising me to send it back with a note about the problem including the transaction info. Even better than that I sent it back with UPS and everything that came in the box as far as parts, the sales slips the seller had included, and I printed the email reply I received from the seller to jog their memory when they received it, which also has the sale transaction number included in it, and I shipped it out the following day which was Thursday September 6th, 2007. Now UPS has charged me for the shipping of course, I have no headset to speak of, and I have called and emailed the seller since about Friday of last week without as much as a phone call or email in return.(I gave them plenty of time to get back to me cause that was September 14th, 2007) Now the only thing I want is my money back for the headset and shipping or a headset that actually works with a discount due to the fact that I had to ship it out at about a little more or less than what I bought it for which now means had if I had gone with another seller at a little more it still would end up costing me more with the current sales price I paid. Please don't let this be a case of no merchandise and no money back. I am still trying to be patiently waiting but my gosh this is a bit much, don't you think? Despite that I haven't told the people I referred to this website and specifically this seller about my problems. I hope I won't have to. I've already had two of the people I referred to you people purchase and receive their headsets so how come I'm the one who suffers?

2 Star Review Suspect in-ear engineering is better

Strengths:

Works well and is compatible to my phone

Weaknesses:

Volume--way too little in ambient noise

Posted Nov 30, 2007 - Love the engineering. It's a well-designed and reliable product, byt a major, significant weakness has been the volume with this loose-fitting earpiece. Would try an in-ear bluetooth headset next time I purchase. Michael Locker MD

4 Star Review Works great with my Samsung sch930a

Strengths:

Easy to learn and was recognized quickly by my phone. Good sound for both me as well as the party I am speaking with.

Weaknesses:

The volume button is a little tricky to operate.

Posted Jul 17, 2007 - I have used for about two weeks and it fits very comfortably over my ear. I slip it in my pocket or around a button on my shirt with the ear wrap. It's so small it's easy to tuck away. It seems to last in standby mode. I'm not very chatty on the cell phone so I don't talk more than 10-15 minutes at a time and probably less than an hour a day, but it has worked fine. Less than $20 shipped, so it was a good deal.

4 Star ReviewI read other reviews about this before I bought it ...

Strengths:

Clarity, I can hear others well. Ease of use. It works about 25ft from the phone with no static. I don't hear any feedback.

Weaknesses:

It's just a little loose on the ear sometimes. With my phone sometimes it cuts off the command voice. Every once in a while, even with volume all the way up, it doesn't always hear my command.

Posted Mar 21, 2007 - I read other reviews about this before I bought it, and I also tried it out at another store before buying it on line, so I kind of knew what I was getting. It is quite clear when listening to others. Some of my friends say it sounds like I'm on a speakerphone when talking to them. They don't tell me there is any static, feedback, or a lot of background noise though, so that's good. To me it sounds just fine when my wife is on her's talking to me, as we bought 2 of them. It's a decent unit

3 Star Review Motorola H350, basic but not bad

Strengths:

Small, cool design and good battery life

Weaknesses:

Low volume

Posted Feb 9, 2007 - This is the second BT headset that I've purchased. The first was a Jabra BT160 which my wife uses. Compared to the BT160 the H350 is comfortable inspite of the stiff ear wrap, also the volume level is a bit low compared to the BT160. Overall, it's small, inexpensive and pretty decent for a basic bluetooth headset.

3 Star Review Your average BT headset....

Strengths:

Comfortable to wear, BT 2.0, mini-usb charger (best thing ever!)

Weaknesses:

Average build quality, sensitive directional mic, low signal strength...

Posted Feb 6, 2007 - I use this headset at least 4 hrs per day. I lost my H700 and got this one as a replacement. Needless to say, I was disappointed. With my cell phone in the pocket, the headset experiences signal degradation. Directional mic makes the positioning of the headset very tricky -- and if you don't get it right on your ear, the person on the other end of the line will complain. If you reverse the headset, your volume up and down will be reversed too -- very tricky to get used to. But the absolute worst about this type of a headset it is the fact that there is no "on/off" switch (or in case of the H700 a flip-style mic). Why is it the worst? If you have voice recognition set up on your phone and you accidentally press the center button, you will end up either re-dialing the last number or calling someone at random (based on the voice recognition). It could be problematic if you happen to be expressing your negative opinions about a person while at the same time your bluetooth connects them without you even realizing it...... trust me, it's not a joke, it happened to me at least twice. The only good thing I have to say about this gadget is that the 2.0 standard works much better than 1.1 especially when it comes to power saving and staying connected with your device. That, and the mini-USB charger plug that should be made standard for any small device charging (best invention ever!).

3 Star Review Motorola H350 slightly above average....

Strengths:

Comfortable & Steady ear fit, easy to use, good noise reduction.

Weaknesses:

Quality is very fair, the range is small

Posted Jan 29, 2007 - This is my first bluetooth headset. Its comfortable on my ear, not too wobbly or heavy, stays on your ear without worry. The headset is very easy to use, lots of functions but well explained in the instructions. It picks up my voice well in fairly noisy environments and the speaker can get very loud making it easy to hear who is on the recieving end. This is overall a fair in quality and inexpensive so don't expect it to be as good as some of the more pricey products. It takse 2 hours to recharge and supposed to last 7 hours. However its not clear black and white. At a full charge your voice sounds clear to the reciever and everything works well. After about 2 hours your voice will sound muffled to the reciever. If your are more than 10 feet away from your phone it will start to largely increase in static. This headset is good if your looking for something inexpensive, keeping your phone on your person and don't plan on using to too often. It a great starter headset.

4 Star Review Motorola H350

Strengths:

Small, inexpensive

Weaknesses:

Static, turning on requires holding button for 6-10 seconds

Posted Jan 27, 2007 - I purchased this model because I wasn't sure how much I'd use it, so I didn't want to spend too much. This is my first bluetooth headset, so I have nothing to compare it to. However, so far, I've been happy with it. I find it very comfortable to wear. I've experienced some static, especially in the house. In the car, it seems to be much clearer for whatever reason. I've heard that this is a problem with bluetooth, in general. It's pretty small, which was important to me. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive headset.
