A dream come true
Almost unlimited Music Variety, easy set up, ease of use.
No battery back-up, sound quality could be better, the backlight is on when music is played, only one big speaker, honestly, it's kind of ugly.
Posted 1 year ago - I live in a rural part of North Georgia, and radio reception is almost non-existent. I saw this radio in a Provantage ad, and being the music buff I am, I had to have it. I got it for Christmas from my wife after I dropped several hints. I anxiously opened it like a child with a new bike, and within 5 minutes, I was streaming music wirelessly. I was amazed at the different stations there were to pick from. I am a fan of the 80's power ballad and whoa, after a brief search, there it was, a station that played exactly that. My wife loves it too since there are numerous "lite adult contemporary" stations as well. The specifications list that accompany the package state that it plays in stereo but with only one big speaker, I don't see how it does, (unless you plug external speakers in the jacks in the back or use a headset). The display light is very bright for night time sleeping and I have not seen any way to dim it as of yet. It is on the entire time the radio plays. The volume is limited with only 2x2 watts total output so don't expect to play it over the vacuum cleaner. It could have benifitted from a battery backup so the alarm would still work in a power outage. Also, I know I'm just being nit picky now, but the default screen displays the date and time. I'd rather see the music identification screen when it is playing. All in all, this is an excellent choice for the music fanatic that is tired of the same old stuff on the radio. You won't go wrong with this radio and ProVantage has one of the cheapest prices on the web.
