warrends - (September 04, 2004) I installed this radio just a few weeks ago. Install was extremely easy. The included template made drilling the 4 holes an exact science. And the height-adjustable legs made the fit perfect and were very simple to place and adjust, and using these the unit should fit under any cabinet setup. It does look nice, which is important in a kitchen, and we just remodeled ours, so this looks the part. Functionality is generally very good. Like I mentioned under weaknesses, the knob is used for the timer, which is not how, most radios are set up. But we've already gotten over that. Radio is easy to use, including setting the presets and such. Likewise for the TV and weather stat

5 Star Review Sony ICF-SW7600GR FM Stereo Multi-Band World Band Receiver Radio

SgtWyatt - (December 15, 2004) I purchased this radio as a replacement to a cheap old Radio Shack SW receiver that I had been using with limited success for several years. Although the Sony ICF-SW7600GR took me some getting used to (and yes...I had to break open the manual), once I got the hang of its controls I was amazed at the quality of this portable receiver. Scanning the airwaves with my new Sony, I immediately began picking up numerous stations that had previously been hidden from me on the old Radio Shack. When I attached the included retractable (which clips onto the telescoping antenna built in to the radio) even more stations began to come in. For a portable radio, the audio quality of this radio is beyon

Phillip2167 - (October 07, 2004) if you are looking for a highly senstive radio to pull in the weaker stations on the fm dial, this radio doesn't dissappoint.and if you're a short wave junkie like me you'll never turn it off. however you'll have to live with dialing in your fav station again and again:-( and a headphone jack thats only mono...THAT'S REALLY DUMB

5 Star Review We must be talking about different versions.

tclipe - (01/15/2009) Are there different versions? Mine were manufactured 10, 2008. None of the things others complained about. Great item, easy to use. Don't think they could improve a thing.

1 Star Review Junk

nbangelo - (01/14/2009) Straight out of the box, there was no sound at all on the FM band. I had just purchased the Model RA-0CD145, which is advertised with a phone jack but has none! So I opted for the RA-CD140. Bad luck all arround

3 Star Review Half-Baked.

mwrobison - (11/06/2008) This is a cool toy, but it has a lot of quirks. If you only want to use it to stream music, it's great. If you truly want to use it as an alarm clock radio, forget it. It's a PITA to turn the alarm on/off. You basically have to setup a new alarm every night. It also has an issue keeping the time. There is a certain sequence of key presses that throws the time off to some random value. It also frequently locks up in the middle the night, thus making its alarm worthless. What's more is that you can't easily switch back to the default view, i.e. the clock view, from the various music menus. Hopefully there will be a firmware upgrade soon that will make it work as it was designed. But as of now, it's half-baked.
