Posted Jan 12, 2008 - Overall OK, poor design on tank cover, hard to get off, falls in tank a lot. Yes you wash out a pot or urn everday, but this requires q-tips and you must use the cleaning disc daily if you brew Latte

The best coffee at home!!

Posted Dec 16, 2005 - Not only is this a nice looking coffee machine, but it is functional and produces a perfect latte, hot cup of tea, regular coffee or hot chocolate. All with easy to use T-discs. Pop in the t-disc and push a button, it really is that easy. You have the option of adding more water to your own taste. NO milk needed for a PERFECT latte, it's in the t-disc, no refrideration required. I don't know how they do it, but it works!

What a great machine

Posted Dec 29, 2005 - I was going to Starbucks and Caribou Coffee at least twice a day. I've been out for coffee once in the last month. We even brought it in our motorhome on our trip from Minnesota to Texas and made latte's on the way. Bought 3 more machines for family and friend for Christmas. My sister just called and asked me what the machine's name is, because she was a our home for X-mas and I made her a latte with caramel coffee syrup, whip cream topped with caramel ice cream topping. So now she needs one.

Great taste but has a couple of drawbacks

Posted Nov 24, 2006 - I recently bought this at Bed Bath and Beyond...with pricematching and 20% off coupon I paid $84.00. I compare with a Senseo and a Capressa and this won hands down for taste. However, be aware it is somewhat noisy and I think it takes a bit on the long side up to 2 - 3 minutes for a cup if you want a bigger serving. I like the fact that it has a 64 oz water compartment and if you shop the disks can be had fairly inexpensively. If you like a big mug of coffee you will be using 2 disks per serving.

I'm a believer

Posted Dec 28, 2005 - bought this Friday night before Christmas as an impulse buy for my husband. He's quite the coffee snob - and while I don't normally drink regular coffee, I do have my Starbucks card that I have to reload every 2 weeks. The Tassimo came with the Gevalia coffee and Earl Grey Tea (not my cup of tea) - and I bought the Suchard Hot Chocolate and the Gevalia Latte packs. My 11 year old son and I tried it out first before wrapping it up for Christmas. We have a "bistro" type coffee machine at home already that lets me have my espresso/latte drinks (that you have to pour milk into a pitcher and use the steam wand on the side). OH MY GOSH!!! The latte that this machine made was much better than anything I have ever made on my own, and downright comparable to Starbucks. At $9.99 for a 10 pack of discs - that is less than $1 per cup (cost me $3.40 at work!!). I use DaVinci Gourmet coffee syrups - and with a little sugar free white chocolate syrup - the espresso disc and the latte creamer disc, I'm all set. The milk was nice and frothy - and I added my dollop of whipped cream (I know, you're sitting there thinking - "and she says her hubby is the coffee snob!") and I'm good to go. Kids (14, 11 & 7) all love it for the hot chocolate that they say is great. Good thing is that they can all make it on their own and they don't make near as much mess as they normally would. Makes a good cup of tea, but I don't like Earl Grey, so we're ordering the English Breakfast Tea off of the Tassimo site. I also bought some more T-Discs at Kaufmann's last night (Bed, Bath and Beyond were totally out of everything already) - so I tried the Cappuccino. The espresso disc is the same in both the Latte and Cappuccino packs, but the milk is coded differently. The Cappuccino makes a denser drink it seems (at least, the frothy stuff looked thicker). Not sure what the difference is there - but I like the Cappuccino a bit better than the latte. But they are both great. At this point - I think my husband likes it - though the rest of us like it so much that it doesn't matter...it is staying, and the old coffee pot is going to a garage sale! We've already signed up for the Tassimo direct shipment program - and have heard that Kraft is coming out with more flavors (perhaps a Chai Tea?? that question was on my survey when I registered the machine on the website). While it may be more expensive to operate for a normal cup of joe - it will easily pay for itself within a few months of me not going to Starbucks.

After thorough research - I found the Tassimo and it is PERFECT!

Posted Mar 8, 2006 - I've found through my research that the t-disks are moving to the local grocery stores soon! Yahoo! I also heard they are coming out with more flavors... That covers my weakness comments. I love coffee, more importantly - great coffee. I have an $1500.00+ semi-automatic Starbucks machine. I still use it occassionaly (probably because I feel guilty for the amount of money I spent on it) but have found I use my new Tassimo several times a day. No mess and quick and easy! It also produces the best latte's. I found I don't add my syrup as much... Maybe a dash of splenda and I'm in coffee heaven. My god daughter was making hot chocolate and accidentily used the espresso t-disk, so she added the latte and surprised her mom with a wonderful latte. It was perfect and she is 6 years old!!!

Sooo Easy!

Posted Jan 12, 2006 - The best coffe, Tea and hot chocolate ever. My whole family loves it. I dink coffee, my kids drink the hot chocolate, and my husband drinks tea. Perfect machine. Oh, and when you are done brewing a cup of what ever, you just pull the disc out and your clean-up is done. Every once in a while dump the resevoir. You can also sign-up for automatic delivery for as often as you would like to receive it. Very easy.

JUNK MACHINE

Posted Jan 29, 2007 - buy a mr.coffee. this machine only worked for 3 month's. I have been trying to get them to fix it for 4 months. All they do is tell you it will be 2 weeks. 2 weeks for a part , 2 weeks for a shipping label, 2 weeks for a box , 2 weeks to fix it. then you get to do it all again after they don't fix it the first tine. JUNK> > .

Hope you're rich

Posted 1 year ago - If you drink a lot of coffee as I do, you better pass this one up. The disks are expensive. What was that line?: "give them the razor and sell them the blades". Under that theory, they should be giving this coffeemaker away - they're making a ton on the disks. Translation: You'll be spending a ton on disks. If you like to make your coffee strong (or weak) you better pass this one up. Mine's headed off to ebay or Craig's list.
