ZSHAH - (October 11, 2005) I HAVE BEEN USING PAPERPORT SINCE VERSION 4. IT HAS BEEN THE MOST USEFUL SOFTWARE FOR ME. SEEMS SINCE SCANSOFT PURCHASED IT THINGS WENT DOWN. VERSION 10 IS VERY SLOW AS COMPARED WITH ANY PREVIOUS VERSION. TOO SLOW TO BE USEFUL FOR LARGE NUMBER OF DOCUMENTS. PDF FEATURES ARE GOOD ALSO SPLIT WINDOWS ARE USEFUL. I CANNOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO PLACE A SINGLE PAGE WITHIN A STACK. WHENEVER I DO THIS THE PAGE ALWAYS COMES BACK ON THE TOP OF THE STACK. HAVE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH ANY OTHER VERSION OF PAPERPORT BEFORE. I CANNOT USE IT BACAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM AND ALSO BECAUSE IT IS VERY SLOW. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE. USE VERSION 9 INSTEAD IT IS STILL GREAT.

droolinggeezer - (November 01, 2005) The OCR is better (a little) but this product is so invasive as to be annoying. For example, now whenever I right-click a JPG file, XP tries to start the Omnipage installer. Tech support is friendly but unhelpful. Just don't do it.

einshem - (April 26, 2004) This program makes your computer stuck if you have windows XP. I spent WEEKS trying to find out why my new copmuter crushes all the time, and I was amazed to see all my problems were gone just as I uninstalled this product. A shame to symantec. DONT BUY THIS !! IT DOES NOT WORK

1 Star Review Don't buy PaperPort Professional 11!!!!

haggler - (11/30/2009) PaperPort is a great program. I've used it for 15 years. Unfortunately, ver. 11 is simply the crappiest piece of software I've ever owned. I'll bet I lose 45 minutes/day just restarting the piece of s___. If Nuance had any sense, they'd release the desperately needed bug fixes immediately. But they don't, and they won't. Some day soon, another company will create a similar product that actually works -- and all of us buy it in a heartbeat. My loyalty to PaperPort has reached zero, and I'm sure that sentiment is widely shared.

1 Star Review Awful, awful, awful

rbeckler - (05/26/2009) Only use if you have time to waste. It has what appears to be nice features like blank page rejection and auto orientation but when it comes to viewing and editing documents, it constantly locks up, especially when deleting pages. I'm looking to purchase something else.

4 Star Review Network Magic

SDTechDeals - (04/29/2009) I got Network Magic bundled with a Netgear switch, so decided to install it. I found it to be very useful, giving me an easy view of my home network. I have a slew of networked applicances at home, and it identified most of them, and if not, at least gave the IP address. You can name and identify those that it does not recognize. It will raise a flag if some new device enters the network. It also has a very easy to setup wireless access to my WiFi router, unlike XP's klutzy one. It will reconnect my wife's laptop everytime. After the 30-day trial was up, you revert to a crippled version. I like it enough, that I went out and bought a retail copy. Note that with Vista, they provide a network map, so this might not be as necessary. However, I still like it! Just wish it was cheaper!!
