I placed an order on the 28th, $2500 worth in laptops I might add. After receiving the run-around for 2 1/2 weeks I finally cancelled it today. I canceled it because I was told they were on back order last week, this week they may be able to get them or they may not. Our business doesn't operate on "may be able to". Either you send them when I order them or you don't. And if they were on back order the website should have indicated as such. Or perhaps someone could have told me sooner. Very poor communication and customer service. Probably the worst I've ever experienced. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Overall Rating

2 days ago Im in dire need of this laserjet printer, Pricegrabber lead me to compare the best price offer. The low-"est" cost offered by this online store was not only superb but suprisingly fast! as my order arrived this afternoon (just 2days!). Can I give more than 5 star rating? Overall Rating

Received a damaged , Used , piece of junk. Packaging liquid foam was all over the printer. Looked like it was picked off of a junk pile. Would not give me an authorization number to return the item. I was hung up on several times, they said they would no longer talk to me. Was promised a return authorization number many times, but never received one. Kept saying they had to get it approved by a manager. Continuous delay tactics used. This is NOT A REPUTABLE COMPANY.
Retailer Response (07/13/2009): The product ordered was a refurbished product. Customer was uncooperative with the technical support in troubleshooting the merchandise and just focused on the packaging.

When I called, the CSR said that the sales manager was on vacation and I would get a call the next day... Nope, no call. When I called back, they stated that the product was not in stock and I should get shipping confirmation in a week. Why was this information not disclosed when the order was placed? I received the package the following day and it was a refurb. I didn't see anywhere on the page it was ordered from that I was receiving a refurb. Along with that, how does the brain not know what the hands are doing?
Retailer Response (06/05/2009): Customer is aware that the item he order was a refurbished. Order information shows also that the product was a refurbished product and with an \"R\" on the part number. Manufacturer (HP) acknowledged that the product has no NEW but only Refurbished (discontinued).

On their site it says "in stock", however when I called a week after the order was placed, they said they were still waiting to get the product in. I just received it today (5/11). Also, and more importantly, the magenta toner that I order showed the correct HP part number and the HP photo, however they shipped me the Xerox compatible one. The cyan cartridge I ordered was in fact HP, however it's so old that it's not that I don't even recognize the packaging from HP. I will NEVER order from this place again. I too had problems getting in touch with them. It's almost as if they operate out of their house. Overall Rating

Terrible customer service, no response to emails or phone calls, the product was ordered with 2nd day shipping and according to their web site after 9 days it's still in fulfillment. I've ordered from this company before and every time it's been an issue, this will be the last time.
Retailer Response (04/23/2009): The product was shipped as ordered, 2days. However the product was in transit within UPS (freight forwarder) until it arrived a month later in customer\'s place (by this time customer refused shipment)

Original order placed 12/12/08, followup call placed 1/9/08, we were told order would ship in 7-10 days. Another followup call placed 1/22/09. Package still not delivered 2/9/09.

This is probably the fastest and reliable service I experienced ordering online. I ordered Laser Printer last Tuesday evening and called for followup the day after (Hey guys you got a great customer care service!). Guess What! Ordered an hp laserjet on Dec 3 which I need by Dec 19. Called customer service next day to find out if toner was included. Was told yes and the man told me printer would be shipped on Dec 4. Tried to find tracking number on website daily and all that the website listed was "in fulfillment." Called at least three times to get tracking number and got the "run-around." On Dec 11, I checked my credit card charges and found that no charge had been made against card. Forced the issue with Compu-America and they admitted they did not have a printer to sell to me at price advertised and also they had failed to notify me. Cancelled order. Very seriously doubt I will ever deal with Compu-America again. Will not recommend them to anyone - quite the contrary. In my case, Compu-America lacks honesty and good business practice. I will now have to wait until January, next year, to try again to get a printer.
Retailer Response (04/23/2009): order was requested cancelled by customer. Nothing has been charged from the credit card. Will provide free ground shipment in customer\'s next order.

I would not recommend this company to anybody. I purchased a 42" Panasonic plasma television for a project of ours. A few days after ordering, I called to ask when we would be receiving it. I was told that it would be 3-4 weeks before it could even ship. They gave me some convoluted reason, and after I told them their service was completely unacceptable, they called me back to tell me it would ship the next day. However, they did say that they had to open the box to make sure that everything was in it, but that it was new and in good condition, that it wasn't a refurbished or used model. When our installer went to install it today, he said that the set looked used, and that there was a problem with the screen, that it was very pixelated. I called Panasonic, gave them the serial number from the set, and they informed me that it was from 2007. Luckily it is still under manufacturer warranty. There was nothing on the box or invoice to indicate this was a used or refurbished set.
Retailer Response (04/23/2009): We validated with Panasonic on the item\'s history that never it was used or previously registered. Problem raised by customer after 2months of ownership. We provided customer the procedure in requesting manufacturer\'s warranty.

I placed an order and the order confirmation came through fine. However after checking the order status online I kept noticing that it does not move away from the status of "Provisioning." I called their office and at first they told me they did not have access to the system that can tell me what the issue is. After repeated calls they told me that my order is waiting to be shipped. After checking the status again a week after I had placed the order I noticed that the order is cancelled. I then called them and they told me that they don't have the product and for this reason they have cancelled my order. I tried to get a hold of a manager or the owner named Farhad, but he never returned my call. They even have not returned my money nor did they send any email notifying me that the order was cancelled. Save yourself a lot of trouble and don’t do any business with them. Overall Rating

(Edited August 19th by caladorn08)  I ordered a printer that was listed as "In stock" and NEW on 7/7. I received an order conf immediately but no other communication until after I called a wk later and left a msg for their cust serv asking why my order was listed as "On Hold". The agent stated they needed the phone # off the back of my credit card, which I gave him. Another 1.5 wks pass and no news so I sent an email to their cust serv dept asking why they had not complied with their stated policy, “…will ship within 24 to 48 hours.” I received no response but did have my account billed a few days later on 7/26. I then received a shipping conf on 7/30, and the printer arrived 8/5. After the printer arrived it did appear to be New but the box had the Proof of Purchase removed and replaced with a photo-copied version. This probably means no Mail-in rebate for me which is the only reason I bought it. There was also a receipt showing CompuAm had bought this printer off ebay on 7/28 before shipping it to me. I would not recommend this merchant to a friend. I ordered 2 HP Procurve switches. They arrived two in one box. The bottoms and the sides were all beat up. I called to get an RMA from them but they would not issue one. I have contacted them several times with no answer. I have turned it over to AMEX to to get these returned. Overall Rating
