Posted Aug 13, 2002 - ok first to point out to the other guy, THIS IS NOT A MOD, Counter-strike USED to be a mod, but since summer of 2001 (i belive) it was no longer a mod becasue it was release in stores as a stand alone. also the price IS NOT high, when HL first came out it was $50, and this has more technoligy and features. i cant wait til i get this game, it'll/should be more 1337 then ne thing else i've ever played.

Strengths:

Counter-Strike, one of the best games that has ever been made on PC, now just think of CZ alone.

Weaknesses:

The delay that the producers put on the Counter-Strike, or any other action fans out there.

Posted Nov 24, 2002 - CZ is going to be a sweet game. A whole new gameplay has been added to make the game more exciting. First off, there is new characters and new weapons. These items will help make the gameplay more realistic than before. The graphics are much better than the original Counter-Strike. And thee is hope for those 56k users. There is now a campaign mode, no I'm not lying. The campaign mode is supposetly very realistic in it's actions, and there won't be as much lag as there usually is on Counter-Strike servers! This will not put stress on the cable/dsl/t1, etc users that complain about the gameplay. Overall, I'm thinking this is going to be one of the top games of 03'.

It has everything a man needs, shooting,killing,explosions, money, the satisfactory of rubing your amazing skills in your opponents face while they keep whinning that your a hacker.Some of the bad things about CS is the newbs. They dont know how to play, and they ask the dummest questions.............but lets face it... we were all newbs once. ALL YOU CS HATTERS OUT THERE SUCK!!!! CS OWNS ALL OTHER GAMES.

Pretty good graphics kinda bad and the people move ...

Strengths:

Better and newer guns, new maps and its just very good.

Weaknesses:

Well firstly the graphics are CRAP and you are charging 40 bucks for a half life mod mad thats bullcrap. The people move funny. Charge less man.

Posted Jul 10, 2004 - Pretty good graphics kinda bad and the people move funny. MOSTLY TOO EXPESIVE FOR A MOD. $40 bucks stuff that. I like the game though it is addictive and fun to play online and if ur lookin for a multiplayer and single player shooting game this would probably be the nest one aound but expensive too.

Posted Feb 20, 2003 - CS:CZ is one of those games you were looking forward to, only to find disappointment. Not only is the weapon selection smaller, but the new levels suck! The thing that kills me is that they have the gall to charge full price for a basically boxed mod. I don't recommend this to anyone who has played CS before. Stick with that. And bottom line, who are you going to believe: the people who couldn't spell their way out of the 1st Grade, or me?

Strengths:

awesome modern day weaponry, excellent bot-behavior, well worth some money, good gameplay

Weaknesses:

however, not worth 40 bucks. find somewhere for cheaper, terrible graphics whether you have a good card or not.

Posted May 22, 2004 - This game has some cool features to it. The guns are very fun to shoot people with and explosions and other things like that are just awesome in gunfights. I think this game really has some good ideas and is worth 20 at least, 25 at most however. If you want a good game with good gunfights with some amazing graphics and incredible features, you could just wait for Battlefield 2 to come out. Battlefield series in my opinion are much better than CS but if you have the money for both get CS:CZ today and wait for Battlefield 2 to come out.

Posted Apr 24, 2004 - To CSjunkie and the rest of you that say you've played...you're all idiots! This game doesn't come out until October 1, 2003, so you don't have an experiece to go off of. The first game was good, and I SUSPECT. that this one will be better. What won me over in the first CS was all the options (gameplay). Yes, graphics matters, but Counter-Strike is way better than Quake 3 (even though Quake 3 is less buggy and has better graphics). The constant no-skill frag wars in Quake was mind numbing. BTW, I get 75 frames on my Voodoo 5 5500 at 1024 by 768 with Counter-Strike (for all of you who think I can't get it high enough). For those who doubt, take a look at texture packs some time. Anyway, I just hope that valve won't have as many bugs (the most annoying being the alt+tab w/o sound bug when someone sends you an AIM message).

I do not know about Counterstrike: Condition Zero ...

Strengths:

Great graphics, gameplay, weapons, maps. To sum it all up everything is great.

Posted Dec 2, 2003 - I do not know about Counterstrike: Condition Zero because it is not out yet, so why are you all writing reviews about it. But the first Counterstrike is the greatest computer game made. It is impossible to get bored att his game and it is very addicting. If you are not addicted after a week of playing, then you have a serious problem. It is not like other games where you have to wait for people in your family to play with you like James Bond Nightfire. This game is online and there are always people to play with. If you dont like this game you are either a demented fool, you suck, or you have a horrible graphic card or internet connection. This is the greatest video game I have ever played in my life. Once I got counterstrike I have not played many other video games.
