4 Star Review Tomb Time

Strengths:

Action

Weaknesses:

None so far

Posted Nov 10, 2007 - Let's start with Lara Croft. What can I say, she's the queen of underground adventures. The action in this game is engaging and the puzzles are thought provoking. Hours of entertainment for men and women. Perhaps a little more for men :)

4 Star Review New and improved Lara

Strengths:

Great graphics advances over the previous installments. New moves and gadgets.

Weaknesses:

Same old thing, finding the treasure and defeat the enemies.

Posted Apr 15, 2008 - Tomb Raider: Legend has come a long way since the first Tomb Raider game. Tomb Raider: Legends features many graphics overhaul over the previous games. Not only the surrounding environment has vastly improved, the character models have been improved as well. In the previous games, even in the last one Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness, Lara's model is essentially the same, but in this one, Lara's model has been changed to slightly more realistic looking. The change could be due to Crystal Dynamics took over the production of the game. In this game, Lara has learned some new moves that helps her getting through the game easier and also proved to be life dependent. Lara received some new gadgets to help her getting through the game as well. The main problem of a game with many installment of the same character is the story line is basically the same after a while. The problem with Tomb Raider game is the same as well. The main plot is for Lara Croft to find the treasure and defeat the enemies. And that is basically what all the installments are all about. Overall, Tomb Raider: Legend is a good game with good graphics and is probably fun if previous games has never been played before. But if played previous games before and cared about story line, it might seem dull because main plot did not change.

5 Star Review Princess of Persia

Strengths:

Redesigned for the better, finally. Nice graphics and good voice work. Fun unique levels.

Weaknesses:

Next Gen graphics option brings even the mightiest PC to its knees when it shouldn't, and even then is buggy. Bike riding is boring, but thankfully plays a small role.

Posted Jul 2, 2007 - Finally Tomb Raider has received the redesign that it's so desperately needed for years. Tomb Raider Legend borrowed from Prince of Persia a little, but that's fine as it's executed wonderfully. Voice acting is above par for most games, and never gets annoying. Looks like Tomb Raider's finally back.
