DECT 6.0 (Digital Enhanced Cordless Communications) technology lets you move freely around your home with long range and amazingly clear sound. It also assures greater protection against eavesdropping for all your calls. Operating in the 1.9GHz frequency range, your phone will not conflict with other wireless devices such as computer routers, wireless keyboards, microwave ovens and other common household devices. minimize

4 Star Review Really great phones - Not perfect but great - No more loss of wireless internet

Strengths:

Does not intefere with my wireless internet - easy to program - good selection of tones - good range - good sound - long battery life

Weaknesses:

Wall mount is poorly designed, and it sticks out - Cannot program specific ring tones for known numbers.

Posted Oct 25, 2007 - I finally got fed up with my Uniden 2.4GHz phones, because they kept breaking up my home wireless network when someone picked up the phone. I tried moving the channels around, which helped for a while, then the phone kept coming back and taking out the internet. These DECT6 phones are the perfect answer. They do not affect the internet any more, and have way better battery life and range than the 2.4 and 5.8 stuff. They are inexpensive, and sound great. The answering controls and speaker phone are in the handset, and thus easy to access. The phone books can be sent between handsets which saves lots on time. The ring tones are not annoying. The display is clear and easy to read. There is also an alarm clock, intercom function, and 2 people can join a phone conversation, at one end. Not gone on the fact that I cannot add a distinctive ring to the numbers in my address book (saves looking at caller ID) which I could do on the Uniden. The charge light could be annoying for a bedroom. The wall bracket is a joke. Its a little shelf to mount the desktop phone, and sticks out. Its hard to see the answering controls on the base. Its not really intended for wall mount, but it works if needed. Overall I am very happy, and so is the wife (which really matters)

5 Star Review Best Cordless I ever owned!

Strengths:

Clear reception, excellent range, phone book can be synchronize to other hand sets

Weaknesses:

The talk and Hangup buttons are smaller than the number buttons. The ringer could be a little louder.

Posted Oct 16, 2007 - This DECT 6 phones is just as clear as my 5.8GHz Uniden phones, if not better. No interference of any sort. I like the fact that it uses AAA rechargable batteries. One of the best phones I've ever had.

5 Star Review Panasonic KX-TG1032S Cordless Phone

Strengths:

Sound quality is excellent. No wireless network interference (supposedly). Good handset speakerphone. Headset jack on handsets. Small base footprint. Good standby/talk time.

Weaknesses:

None. I like it.

Posted Oct 16, 2007 - Don't know if these features are on other phones, but here are some that I've used and appreciated: - easy to transfer phonebooks between handsets - check msgs from handsets - uses standard AAA NiMH batteries. Speaking of the batteries: the ones that come with the phones are rated for 550 mAH. I have other rechargeables that are rated for 1000 mAH. Does that mean I can almost double my standby/talk time? Could be fun to experiment... ;)

5 Star Review Panasonic KX-TG1032S Cordless Phone with Linksys wireless G network

Strengths:

Clear reception, easy setup, calls between handsets and no interactions with linksys wireless G system

Weaknesses:

none

Posted Jun 11, 2007 - I currently have a linksys wireless G network running in my home. I have been using both a Panasonic 2.4 Mhz and 900 Mhz cordless phone system. I found that the 900 Mhz cordless had a lot of static as I moved the handset away from the base station during a call. This static occurred as close as 6-7 ft. from the base station. The 2.4 Mhz Panasonic cordless was much clearer but occasionally I would lose part of the conversation or the call would be dropped all together. In addition, every once in a while I had to reset the wireless G router(runs on channel 11). Since installing and using the new Panasonic DECT 6.0 cordless phones I have had no interference with the wireless G network at all and the calls have been crystal clear (calls have been over an hour). I noticed that I was able to maintain a connection from the base unit to the handset during a call for about 100 ft. Another nice feature is that you can make a call from one handset to the other. This is especially useful if you have a separate study or work area from the house. I am very pleased with my purchase.

5 Star Review KX-TG1032S Cordless Phone

Strengths:

Very good range and sound quality, uses regular rechargeable AAA batteries, built-in alarm clock

Weaknesses:

none so far

Posted Jul 29, 2007 - I've had this phone for a week and like it. The phones themselves are very light, they use regular rechargeable NiMH AAA batteries. Every handset has a speaker phone and and an alarm clock feature. Clarity and range are very good. Phones have a belt clip and a headphone jack. Base unit comes with a wall adapter, so you can mount it vertically on a wall.

5 Star Review Panasonic Cordless Phone

Strengths:

Overall, excellent cordless telephone

Weaknesses:

None

Posted Sep 15, 2007 - I would recommend this model of cordless and all Panasonic cordless telephones. I purchased this particular cordless telephone model for my 83 year old mother. Previously I was cheap and purchased another manufacturer's cordless telephone- a big mistake. This Panasonic will give Mom years of service. At first I thought the unit was too small and did not have all the bells and whistles. But in hindsight, it is perfect for her. She can use the answering machine and walk around her apartment with the cordless unit. That is all she needs and is small enough to fit in a small space. When I come to visit we can talk to my daughter and grandson on the speakerphone together and the communcation is clear as a bell.

5 Star Review Excellent Phone

Strengths:

Great design, good call quality, signal, battery life

Weaknesses:

Ringers could be a little louder

Posted Jul 17, 2007 - This is another winner in Panasonic's phone lineup. I chose this model because of the DECT being on a different frequency than most other wireless devices. This comes in handy in a business environment and has worked splendidly. Overall it's a great phone and does everything I need it to and does it well. The screen is bright and the battery indicator is very handy. All the phone functions work as they should and I have never heard any static from this setup. Highly recommended.

4 Star Review Decent low-end DECT Handset

Strengths:

DEC phone, no 2.4GHz or 5.8GHz interference

Weaknesses:

Odd menu and keypresses

Posted Feb 16, 2008 - I purchased this set as a replacement for a very similar Panasonic 5.8GHz set which was on its last legs. That was a great model, and is what I like least about this set - the menu setup and key layout isn't as good as the previous (why couldn't they have kept them?). Everything else is quite good though, the reception is good and clear, the speakerphone works well, the volume is plenty loud. I don't personally use the answering machine function, but it is easy to turn off and ignore.

4 Star Review Excellent Phone

Strengths:

Cordless and a second base and phone that's wireless.

Weaknesses:

None.

Posted Dec 28, 2007 - I love the look & style of this item. This is a phone that I would highly recommend, it has everything you need including a speakerphone. It also allows you to turn the ringer off, this helps when you sleep days and work nights.

4 Star Review great product

Strengths:

Standard AAA rechargeable batteries, DECT 6.0 doesn't interfere with any of my current wireless devices, menu is easy to operate & understand.

Weaknesses:

none so far

Posted Jul 19, 2007 - This phone has everything I wanted in a phone & more. It has two handsets (so I can use one & have the other ready to go), operates off of the 2.4ghz spectrum, clear speaker phone on the handset, and a digital answering machine. I literally put the batteries in my handset, plugged in the base station, let the handset charge for seven hours, and was good to go. The call quality is remarkable. I understand that it is possible to add more handsets to this unit. It's not a feature I need so I've not looked into this. Bottom line -- well built, easy to use and affordable.

5 Star Review Great Phone...

Strengths:

No interference with wireless network. Easy to program and excellent Sound quality. Standard AAA rechargeable batteries.

Weaknesses:

None so far.

Posted Dec 4, 2007 - This is an excellent phone, just as clear as my 5.8GHz Panasonic phone. Infact I have 5.8 Panasonic for my Home Office use and I purchased DECT 6.0 so that both phones don't interfere. So far I love this on as well as 5.8GH from Panasonic, there has never been interference even when we are talking on both the phones. Easy to transfer phonebooks between handsets. Best Part is it uses standard AAA NiMH batteries. Bold Numbers on Keypad.

4 Star Review KX-TG1032S Cordless Phone (6.0 DECT, Answering Machine, Caller ID, Speakerphone)

Strengths:

sleek design with small footprint, clear audio, great features all around e.g built in answer machine, caller id, speaker phone, easy copy of phone book from one handset to another, etc.

Weaknesses:

Can't figure out how to quickly get to list of most recent missed calls identified on the LCD display without scrolling through history of Caller ID menu

Posted 1 year ago - This is a great phone with great features. Built in answering machine helped save space on my end table with the overall small footprint of the phone base/charger. LCD display has large text which helps a lot when looking at Caller ID. Again, my only small problem with the phone is not being able to quickly identify the Missed call shown on the LCD without going through the Caller ID list which contains all calls received. There probably is a quick way to do this but I just haven't played enough or read up on it yet to figure it out.
