Strengths:4 handsets for a reasonable price, talking caller ID, no antenna sticking out for cats to chew on, most keys backlit, flashing voice mail notification light, good reception, rechargeable AAA batteries
Weaknesses:Cheaper buttons, not all keys backlit, somewhat confusing menus
Posted 1 year ago - I owned older Panasonic phones that the cats had chewed up the antennas and the phone batteries no longer held a charge. I looked into buying new batteries for the phones but they were expensive enough that I decided it would be better just to buy new phones. I loved the talking caller ID feature so that limited my search to Panasonic phones. Unfortunately, for quite some time, I couldn't find a new Panasonic phone model that had backlit keys and the talking caller ID. When I found the KX-TG9344T model, I decided to give them a try.
I have been extremely pleased with them. I only use 2 of the 4 phones. However, I decided to pay for the extra 2 phones in case anything happens to the ones that I have out to use such as leaving them outside in the rain like I accidentally did with one of my old ones. At last I don't have to worry about my cats chewing on the phone antennas which they seemed to be drawn to with the last Panasonic phones I owned.
There are a couple things I wish Panasonic had done such as backlit ALL the keys instead of most of them. I also think they could have made there menu system a little easier to navigate, but I am getting used to it. Overall, these are great phones with all the features that I really wanted and only a couple very minor complaints.
