4 Star Review SQL Server 2005 is the best database product out there.

Strengths:

Too numerous to list them all, check out the microsoft web site: http://www.microsoft.com/sql/default.mspx

Weaknesses:

High cost, although Microsoft offers a (mostly) functional free version also.

Posted Aug 29, 2007 - SQL Server 2005 is a great step up from the 2000 version: report services (to replace crystal reports), database mirroring (backup management) and improved data import tools are some of the new features that are very useful. And of course the database engine for SQL Server is extremely robust and stable and seems to be able to handle any load we have put to it so far.
