After an exhaustive research effort to decide which HDTV I would purchase, I finally decided on the Samsung 8 series plasma. There were no retail stores in this area that even had one, but Best Buy offered to order me one if I paid for it in advance. Their best price was $ 700 more than DealCost BEFORE a 7% sales tax so the fact that I would have to wait a few days if I ordered it from DealCost was no problem at all. The sales rep spoke AMERICAN ENGLISH and was very knowledgeful about the Samsung product. The TV arrived in 4 days, and the driver even helped me open and inspect it before he left. I try to use internet vendors as much as possible especially when it is a big ticket item, and my experience with DealCost was a great one. I would recommend them to anyone whose primary purpose is to save money. I will use them again. |

I've suggested to friends that they look at DealCost.com to shop for a good TV - as I was led to their sight after reviewing TVs on ConsumerReports online. Their ratings were excellent then, and their price was very good. So, I figured they were the one to go with and I figured right. Phone sales were knowledgeable and polite. I received a follow-up confirmation on the sale, again expressing polite consideration. The truck drove up and the guys were careful, quick and polite. They all did their jobs well. |

Tried to contact them today via their online chat tool and their email form to get an estimated ship and delivery date. The email form didn't work and the online chat tool said "off-line". Not sure what's up but I don't think a legitimate vendor would have both items not working. Feels like I'm about to get screwed. Will update rating and notes if something changes. For now, I'm leaving a poor rating because the tools they provided to contact them doesn't work. Update 10/2/2009:Ok,I was right. I confirmed the order the same day I received the confirmation and declined their hard sell of additional warranty stuff. Called today to find out when the order was shipped and when it was going to arrive. Found out it shipped YESTERDAY-six days after the order was placed and 5 days after receiving confirmation that the order had been released for shipping. Seems they forgot to mention key info that they were drop shipping from the manufacturer. |

I placed my order on a Sunday afternoon for a Pioneer VSX-23TXH receiver and it arrived on the doorstep via UPS ten days later. The shipping was free btw and no sales tax. The receiver is exactly as advertised, brand new (not reconditioned) in a never been opened box. Since Pioneer will not honor the warranty if you do not purchase from an authorized dealer, part of the ordering process is calling to confirm the order. The salesman makes sure you understand the warranty situation and they offer a third party warranty, some people consider this deceptive and another sales pitch. I consider it being upfront, and making sure the customer knows the situation. If you want to cancel the deal you can and you do not have to purchase the warranty. I fail to see why people complain about this. The people on the phones are Americans, they are courteous, and they are smart. The receiver was $250 less than anywhere else. I would not hesitate to do business with them agai |

Pros: 1.) Beat everyone on cost 2.) Easy order process 3.) Customer service dept not in 3rd world country 4.) Unit arrived on time once it shipped Cons: 1.) Did not include manufacturer warranty which wasn't clear at time of purchase 2.) Had to call to confirm order - which turned into a sales pitch for 3rd party warranty 2.) Never received tracking email or accurate tracking number. Was told shipping department would call me back, but never got a message. 3.) Order took 48 hours to process. Conclusion: If you're looking for the lowest cost and don't care about manufacturer's warranty dealcost.com is probably for you. |

I purchased a Samsung 55" LCD Television from Dealcost. I was initially going to purchase from Bestbuy, but the sale for the specific model I wanted ran out the day before I decided to get the TV. I went online and found Dealcost had the lowest price and included shipping. I was a little hesitant due to some of the reviews, but opted to take a chance since the price was so reasonable and shipping was free. The Television arrived within 7 days after in perfect condition (even though free shipping was supposed to take 10-14 business days). Overall, I was very satisfied with the service I received and saved a great deal of money since I was not required to pay tax on the purchase. |

I purchased a Yamaha RXV-663 Receiver for my home. I searched and searched on the web and DealCost had the best price by $50 and free shipping. I was a bit skeptical since I only deal with newegg and amazon and occasionally eBay, but I thought that it was worth it since my neighbor across the street bought the same receiver from them and it was perfect. The shipping took a little long, but for free what can you argue about that! I did have to call to "confirm" my order, and was offered a warranty but politely refused and there was no high stress pushiness that normally comes from the NY resellers. I purchased a Sony DA4400ES from Dealcost after doing a considerable amount of comparison shopping with the usual places I go for online electronics purchases (Crutchfield, Amazon, etc). The unit was anywhere from $300-500 cheaper at Dealcost but I was still somewhat hesitant given I had zero expeience with them as a vendor. Turns out I shouldn't have worried. The unit arrived promptly and was perfect in every way. Exactly what I ordered and clearly brand new straight from the manufacturer. I received a phone call from the people at Dealcost the following day to ensure everything was good and I was a satisifed customer. No problem there. David was very helpful during the ordering and follow-up process. We had just moved and my mailing address was in the process of being changed, therefore my credit card was denied several times - David and DealCost were very patient and helpful through the entire process. I ordered a 61" Samsung DLP HDTV which was shipped from NY to Houston Texas by Central Freight - the TV arrived on time and in great shape. We have had it about two weeks and it is doing great.
