ma1321 - (October 28, 2004) Reaches desired heat setting suprisingly fast. Heat recovery is also pleasingly fast. Basket/container accomodates large portions. Controls are simple and practical. Timer is an added feature. Clean-up is simple and easy. The unit is good-looking and a welcome addition to our kitchen. Worth the additional cost over competing brands

jcolazo - (September 13, 2007) I bought this fryer paying a premium over other models, thinking that I would get a quasi-professional quality fryer for our large household. Big mistake. First, once you inspect the appliance, the quality of assembly is poor: parts are missasembled, screws are not flush, metal panels are wobbly. Then, the manual warns: This is NOT a commercial appliance (I'm OK with that, the problem is it won't probably withstand heavy home use either). Once you use it, the whole thing gets hot as hell, with no thermal insulation at all. The lid does not have a hinge, and either you hold it with one hand while trying to drop the food with the other, or leave the lid on the counter and forget about it. Th

Bobandfamily - (06/12/2009) I saw this for between $129 and $149 and now have found it at Lowes who has it for $69 dollars, don't over spend. But I am hoping this works like they say, looking forward to a great turkey.

1 Star Review Inferior Quality

chasetl - (03/02/2009) The features on this unit were great and I thought worth the price. The product only lasted a few times as plastic parts on the housing did not hold up to the heat. The holder for the heating element cracked after just a few uses making it inoperable. The part to replace is as expensive as the unit making it about $20.00 per use. Not a good ROI! Will not purchase DeLonghi products in the future.

2 Star Review Rotofryer

beetherapy - (12/12/2008) This product should not contain an aluminium lining as it it believed that aluminium plays a large part in Alzhiehmers! There is not way to clean this appliance even using an abrasive as you would damage the aluminium lining. I know this from previously owning an aluminium pressure cooker which I disposed of and now own a stainless steel one. Have contacted Delonghi several times asking how I should clean it but they have not seen fit to answer my question.
